When i learned about this I was still waiting on my last paycheck and drove home blasting Bitch Better Have My Money over and over and over in the car, crying in raaaaaage

THIS. I have never been what anyone would call well-dressed, but I either wear nice jeans & a nice top, or a dress, because skirts that squeeze your belly all day are for the birds (and who has time to match TWO THINGS). I buy my winter tights a size too big, and throw an over-sized sweater over a dress. It’s

Or how about when it propped a senile apocalyptic Hollywood stool pigeon in the White House for eight years and spent the following 25 pretending he was Jesus Christ?

I knew he was a narcissist, but some of his shitty behaviors I had never attributed to his narcissism, or at least not in the most accurate way. For example, him constantly need me to “run and pick something up for him” was as much about him wanting attention as it was about him wanting to basically be spoiled.

I did a full course of DBT because both my Mom and one of my sisters are borderline. It explained so much. And really gave me tools to dealing with them.

That is so standard with alcoholics/addicts who really do want to get sober.

That is so standard with alcoholics/addicts who really do want to get sober. It’s also why AA is so tough on their members, forcing them to be accountable and responsible. AA’s been around for 80 years, and they’ve heard every excuse/rationalization in the book. You’re not going to fool them.

i get you.

I just always saw it like medication. Certain medications work for SOME people but not EVERYONE. If it doesn’t work for you, you try something else.

Yep. And I honestly think some people just need a well led Ayahuasca journey (worked wonders for some friends of mine. ) AA isn’t for everyone, but AA gets blamed when forced AA doens’t help.

yeah it is. it’s only used that way because it’s free so the courts dont have to put in any actual resources to helping people.

Its such a shame that AA meetings are used in this way. Even attending 52 meetings, she is unlikely to be successful especially if she doesn’t have any buy in with them. She probably needs in patient (not Hollywood style) rehab with medical support.

God, I hate AA meetings. Been to hundreds of meetings in my attempts to not binge drink and refuse to go to any more. I’ve been sexually harassed and insulted. The other people bug me, most of them are crazier than the average person, and the people that go for 30 years depress the hell out of me. They consider

I remember the heady post 9/11 days when Bush was in full power, we had freedom fries, the Dixie Chicks were banned, and there was nary a person who thought it was a bad idea to get into Iraq (and torture and mass financial fraud).

I went to a conservative college (which helped turn me liberal) and 8 years of Bush

People, please start believing that health care IS the miracle God sent you.

I’ve been told that at boarding schools (at least in the mid 90s when the people who told me were there) it was considered, er, de rigeur for girls to get together in groups of four or five in a junior or senior girl’s room and watch gay porn on mute after hours. It just sounds so gruesomely joyless and mechanistic

I’ve had to watch every episode at least twice to get what's going on. There is much rewinding.

I thought the trailer was fan made when I saw it. I am excited though. Tatiana Maslany not receiving and award for her acting is truly a crime though.

What the ever-loving fuck? Who on earth thinks it’s appropriate to say out loud that they have a ‘personality conflict’ with a 3/4yr old? And this is a person working out of a CHURCH???

This article bugs me. I spent several years being the support for a loved one with depression and reading articles like this, which only served to make me feel like the burden of making the relationship work was put on me and any sympathy for what the support person is going through is minimized. And no, saying “it
