He added that Notorious Studios has a “flatter structure,” made up of people who wrote code, made art, and designed pieces of games rather than serving as leads or directors.

Definitely would not have thought that was Katy Perry had it not had the name or been mentioned in the article.

He’d find a way, even if it broke the space-time continuum

To be honest I don’t really understand the facination with open-world games. Sure, there are some REALLY fun ones out there, but it also feels like it’s one of those words that makes people instantly froth at the mouth and slap the ‘masterpiece’ stamp on games instantly.

This is fuckin’ gold.

Excuse me for my cynicism, but this really feels like those shows like storage wars which were pretty staged, just having sealed games in that filth feels very clickbaity.

The stupid thing here is that he didn't even ask Bungie. He just did it. If he had asked them/Microsoft for permission to use it this would be a whole different thing. Instead, he just uploaded stuff he didn't have the rights to and started selling it.

I’ll save everyone the time and just generate some comments for this:

“Take Two has every right to go after these guys and protect their IP.”
“Ugh, I was looking forward to this”
“These guys were dumb for spending time on a project like this.”
“Why can’t companies just chill out and let fans be fans?”
“The writing was on

It’s always a shame when these projects get the C&D hammer dropped on them, but really...You’re making something with the IP of a major corporation that has a long, and well known history of shutting down projects like this. Would it really be that bad to just suck it up, and make it play the same, with different

Now nobody can deny that videogames aren’t art, a way to launder money by people who don’t care about it.

Cowboy Bebop is also extremely influenced by hollywood films...so yeah, I think it has a better chance than not sucking than the *checks notes* live action One Piece movie?  The fuck?

just as not every writer can knock out books like Stephen King.”

I assume you meant Brandon Sanderson? ^^

I’m sure PlayerUnknown feels their pain.

So, the content warning accurately reflects the game's content, but people made bad assumptions about that warning and are now mad at the dev and want the dev change the game itself?

Somebody on reddit did some research on Blue Box and apparently they’ve done things like this for years now.

Oh snap, Kotaku just leaked the title of the BotW sequel, I guess.

Hell yeah they do. At least with younger generations, anime has become mainstream af. And I love it. I see kids wearing my hero shit absolutely everywhere.

I’m a launch player and I deleted Pokemon Go this past weekend.

Their product lineup is arguably in the worst state it’s ever been in, the state of California is against them, the public is against them, their employees are against them, and now their investors are against them.

The game was charming, and there’s any number of new stories they could tell within the existing framework, but unless they offer the opportunity of a new / substantially different outcome it seems a bit like gilding the proverbial lily?
