I feel like Dark Cloud 2 is, technically, a better game than the first. But it’s also got too much stuff in it, which sounds like a stupid thing to say until you play it. I don’t want to play golf in Dark Cloud, but I can’t stop.

That was the problem with this one. It seemed like it just could not fail.
I didn’t back it, but FFT is a top 5 game all time for me, so I check the page once or twice per month and man that video was rough. Boring design on the characters, milquetoast combat. I know it's early (if this ever releases at all) but it's possible they saw the reaction to that video and got even more dispirited…
At what point does this turn into a betting pool of whether or not you'll even make it a year? This could not have been a better choice, clearly.
I’d call neith, nu wa, hel, and Kali egregious. The rest I think work pretty well.
I like it, the middle ground can just be a gif of someone dismissively wanking.
I see you’re trying hard here, but there are plenty of systems we use that may not be perfect, but also cannot BE perfected. Currency, for instance, or literally any political ideology. Trying to guide the conversation that comes from your writing is, at best, a futile endeavour. The people who want to read it will…
If there is one thing Gawker needs, it's a dedicated videos area.
Not the same. Manga creators stick with their creation the whole way through. Right now Scott Snyder is saying he’ll make 56 issues on his bat man run, and that’s a LONG run. Oda is over 800 chapters that are as long as issues already, not to mention he gets cash for anything those characters do, because he created…
Sadly, after replaying it on my vita, this is my least favorite FF. It’s more of a hallway simulator than even FF13 and the story and battle system is so played out. Not to mention that abominable card game. People like to talk about FF7 not holding up, but at least the materia system and the wacky story are still…
Since this is probably a place for people to discuss WHAT'S MISSING I think Rogue Galaxy and Tales of Symphonia are hard to leave off. One is basically Dark Cloud turned into a full-on RPG that got completely forgotten because it came out after the generations switched, and the other is the pinnacle of an absolute…
Could not agree more. Ni no Kuni made me feel like a 5 year old over and over and over again, and not in a good way. In a "I-AM-TAL-KING-LOUD-SO-YOU-CAN-UN-DER-STAND-ME" kind of way.
I’m sure someone else mentioned it, but the two things that deter “professional” (weird way to put it) thieves the most are displaying an American flag and owning a dog. But professional thieves likely aren't breaking into your home, like you said. Nice article!
So... glad nobody here can successfully google image search a picture of Tim Roth. Well done.
There exists no universe or dimension in which I fail to play either.
I have never lived in or gone to a home that was fine with you wearing your dirty-azz shoes inside the home. That type of thing could cause a small riot.
Wow $30 to level 25. A bunch of truly unfortunate people are going to spend money on this. I wouldn’t spend $10 on an auto level to 40.
Famitsu gave it 8-8-9-8. All out of 10. Of course, if this fella here knew much about Famitsu at all, he'd know they give any Japanese game at least an 8 since like... 2011?
And you’re reposting a repost of a defense of reposting a repost.
