I think the over prescribing of Adderall, etc. leads many people to think that their kid will be medicated and not connected to a real person. That would scare me too.

I am glad you had support and good medical care. It makes all the difference. I used to call my support system my safety net. I could visualize it stretching across that dark hole to keep me from falling back in. They saved me, no doubt.
