Here here! But you’re preaching to the choir man. I’ve bought a lot of new cars and chosen a manual every time one was available. Sometimes I had to order that car, which is OK since I can add another manual unit into production that otherwise wouldn’t be there. I think manufacturers get it, especially for niche

Avalanche was awesome. Very versatile. Could also remove the rear window and leave the midgate up for a sorta almost K5 Blazer open back experience.

I know I will get excoriated for saying this here, but for non-car people who want a comfy, efficient, practical, reliable, and inexpensive car - Buick Encore. Can be had for <$20k new all day long and comes with a better than average Buick warranty. It has a conventional 6-speed auto and 1.4 turbo with reliable port i

Ha true! I live in the midwest and see an Aztek almost everyday. Not too long ago there were three of them in traffic in front of me, one of which was yellow. I seriously wondered if this was staged for some reason, but I don’t think it was.

Because they risk the ire of Cancel Culture if they don’t condemn it. Actually, I think GM had an appropriate response - they didn’t approve or disapprove, just stood behind their product.

Reminds me of the 2nd gen Honda Odyssey. They were all pre-sold before they hit the dealer lot. We bought a 2001 Odyssey sight unseen, paid full MSRP, and waited 3 or 4 weeks for it to come in, because we had to if we wanted one. Seems crazy for a minivan but they were that much better than the competition at the

It seems like full size trucks today have the same or very similar wheelbase as 80s and 90s trucks but have gotten wider and taller. My 2020 AT4 is wider than my previous 2017 (previous gen) Sierra 4x4 by about an inch. It is factory lifted 2 inches but still the top of the tailgate is 59" high! A non AT4 is 57" and

I would like a slightly smaller full size truck. I’ve had several trucks, currently have a Sierra AT4 crew cab short bed. The side mirrors clear my garage entrance by about an inch on each side. I have to do a 3-point turn to get in and out of the garage and driveway. I want a full size truck capability, but think an

Make a Quattroporte shooting brake, or a Giulia estate.

Right after 9/11, I was looking at a new 2002 Z06 for $46k and for the first time ever, 0% for 60 months with GM’s Keep American Rolling incentive plan. I had a good, relatively stable job at the time, but it was a scary time with war imminent. I turned down the deal. It was very tempting though. I remember staring at

For shits and giggles, I built a diesel Wrangler Rubicon with many of the options I’d want. It was $66,000! For a Wrangler!! And there were more options still available.

Came this -><- close to buying an Evora 400. Came down to the Evora or a 911 Carrera, which I believe is what the Evora is truly designed to compete against. Ended up with the 911 primarily because it seemed the safer buy and overall more of a finished recipe. Now I wonder if the 911 isn’t a little too polished and

Hmm, base model non-Z51 with performance exhaust and a la carte Mag Ride. In white with black/red interior. Unless one of the new colors is a good green, then green/black or green/tan. For ~$65k - that seems like a huge bargain.

Was gonna say just the opposite. I think it looks much better in person than pictures. Not sure why, but a lot of new GM product seems to not photo as well as in person.

Wonder if the kid could use that as a defense in court. Your Honor, it is physically impossible for my car to go that fast... must be an error with the laser gun

Is this the indestructible version that has the problem with the frame rusting out from underneath the truck? Sorry, but I see this thing as terribly fragile, and practically useless in any salted road winter regions (moreso that this example is 2wd). The engine might last forever but the rest of it is a pile of rust

Proud to say I’ve purchased new inferno orange (Corvette), racing yellow (Porsche), rally green (Camaro). But lots of vanilla colors too.

Let’s see -

Interesting! My Camaro LT1 with essentially the same engine says to use a 1500 mile break-in period. It has analog gauges so no digital changes to redline. I assume the 1500 miles is more for the trans and diff than the engine.
