I was playing over the weekend, and a friend accidentally pegged me with the resupply beacon. Hilarity ensued, obviously. After frantically running around and diving to the ground to try and shake the little glowing orb of imminent death, I realized only one thing could save me - a perfectly timed, split second dive

Yea I also play single player games for the most part. I was into Rocket League and some shooters for a while but make any mistakes and your teammates treat you like trash, even if they’re at a relatively low ranking overall. I may be one of the few people who enjoyed Nintendo’s decision to disable traditional

Your entire argument is based on a very stupid assumption.

That’s largely right. People get used to X difficulty meaning something, and so if you change what it means, people dislike it, especially if the change is huge, as it was here. This is the equivalent of “normal” becoming “very hard”, as it were.

Honestly I find it hilarious that the kind of goober that says “git gud” is being told by a dev to git gud.

I get your point in terms of developers being professionals. But man...whiny gamers are the absolute worst. They make playing games like this not fun for those of us who just want to play for a hour or so casually and have a good time. So all this did was made me a bigger fan of the developers of Helldivers 2.

Your personal opinions on this don't matter. You don't berate your customers, period, even if they're being annoying. This is basic customer service shit 101 and the amount of you saying otherwise is sad.

Games are genuinely cheap as modern entertainment goes. It’s all the other shit sucking up disposable income that’s making them feel expensive.”

Ha ha, NO, it’s the fact that incomes haven’t kept up with inflation that’s making them feel expensive. Games are not cheap compared to how much people make. A lot of people

Everyone? I’d be surprised if even 10% of Nintendo’s user base knew that. The average gamer doesn’t even know the difference between a developer and publisher.

There’s something to be said about loading up a game and having 99% confidence that it’ll work because it’s a closed ecosystem. I don’t have to mess with drivers or settings unless I want to because the game was designed for that hardware and OS.

“Thank you for your feedback. Our team will take it into consideration” is really all that needs to be said, if anything.

True, though they’re also more likely to give your game negative reviews on Steam, Metacritic, etc. As a general rule, when you’re running a business, you want to minimize negative PR as much as possible. It’s better to just ignore the whiners than to engage with them in an antagonistic manner.

It’s not really the correct response if you’re running a business and trying to sell a product to customers. That’s why PR training exists and why employees without said training usually aren’t allowed to interact with customers.

Judging from the non-apology the CEO gave, he not only isn’t disappointed, but wants to join in, and the only reason he isn’t is bad publicity.

Me too. I was playing one difficulty down from where I was before and it was really fun. They made it feel a lot more dangerous and difficult especially when you are dodging meteors now.

Honestly, I’m pretty pumped about the re-balancing, it’s nice to be able to play with more than just the one set of gear again.

Devs didnt lie or say anything wrong.
