I mean, we already see this in the videogames. You play as members of the Imperium in about 90% of WH40K games and they’re generally portrayed as the good guys.

They’d have to be the baddies. They’re horrible... So is pretty much everyone in 40K.

Forget fairness. It’s an unnecessary component of the discussion.

I have no skin in this, but I absolutely have read SWT’s bits and it really pushed me to believe that they did a poor job convincing Nintendo why they should be granted a license.

In summary...

Just get rid of survival elements as the out of box experience. Survival elements = friction in the fun, given their demographic target of “all the players ever”... milquetoast survival is just irritating. Adds no fun, while adding meaningless friction.

If I had sufficient disposable income to live like a slothful emperor, I could see myself whaling on a game whenever new content showed up. As it is, I don’t, so I don’t.
