I will concur with your assessment. That’s a huge no-no for reverse engineering.

The legal measure will really be “did the people who created this, ever have access to the original source code?”
Copyrights are not uniform in how they’re applied between works of art vs technical mechanisms.
Well considering the now widespread reach the tentacles of this squid has...I’d say very effective.
I watched season1 anime with my 11yo. She really liked it, although obviously found the elevator to be horrifying. And then we watched the movie... and well, she pretty much noped out of most of it, after reg sits in that chair.
Y’all can laugh at my reason for quitting, as it seems dumb or unreal... but something about the first-person head-bobbing effects made me ill. I don’t normally get ill from FP perspective games, but... this game did it for some reason. I have no idea why. I wanted to like this game... but physically can’t.
Yes, in certain ways the lack of freedom really sucks, but the stability and reliability it brings is one of the selling points.
It’s hard to be a constructive critic from here, so I’m going hope that at least a good chunk of the townspeople had input on this decision. If the locals couldn’t identify more pressing matters and opted for a tourism angle, who am I to critic? On the other hand, if lots of locals are complaining that other things…
I agree with your take completely. They said and seem to planning all of the right things... but I expect they’ll somehow make things worse. I have no idea how it’s possible to do worse than nothing, but this wouldn’t be the first time for that company to deliver that kind of surprise.
Afaik Riot is obliged by law to defend their IP or risk losing it.
Wait... every gym isn’t Sparta?
My hot take is that they tried too hard to put a story. I would have been happy with...
I have a very difficult time playing old games. I have come to accept that my eyes have adapted to resolutions better than 640x480 and 1024x768, and going back... just doesn’t work for me, despite nostalgia wishing it so.
I used to be much more favorable in my opinion of EGS. However, the more i use it, the less I want to use it. I bought from EGS a few times, but I’m actively avoiding it now. I recently bought from Uplay because there was a good sale. I still use Origin to access EAPlayPro. Obviously I use Steam... And there’s xbox…
Forza title, xbox360 controller. there’s still a mark on my tv stand because i luckily missed my tv, and the controller was non-functioning. wife forbade me to ever play racing games and i obliged for numerous years.
That’s a long list of fan-loved IP and dead studios... the hate is justified.
I think it’s just that Activision doesn’t do it “as often”... and maybe not ruining fan-loved franchises.
Nike swoosh is still visible on the shoe, so that’s violation of the trademark.
Take your glorious star, you magnificent bastard.
Sure... add Element/Matrix to the mix. Microsoft buying Discord still isn’t a case of anti-trust.
