I’ve never played any of his games since I primarily play PC games, but this prank is fantastic.

Drow culture is ... violent, backstabby, yet highly disciplined, and intelligent. The Salvatore novels did a lot to describe their complexity. Their skin tones range anywhere from black (not real-world human pigment of dark brown) to bluish/indigo. I find it difficult to picture them as a stand-in for any on-earth

So both options, in my view, are non-starters. Both should be rejected. ...

That comment was meant in much more generalized terms to be applied to just human nature at large. One side is beaten in some way, and so the reaction is to retaliate rather than resolve.

It’s spelled ‘en masse.’

So... How dare they leave en mass to do something they want to do, for something they never got paid to do? Nobody is really entitled to what they do with their time.

If it was “sorry they felt that way. I wish them luck. I want a forum to be completely devoid of making any political statement.”

Really? Do you know what’s happening in those companies. Are you there to see if they’re creating discussion spaces? Are you there to see whether they’re rallying their staff towards volunteering opportunities. Are you there to see how they’re engaging with the groups they’re donating to?

I want to focus on the important thing:

You make all very good points. I agree that not every game studio is Riot. Where I am in my life, there’s insufficient reward for switching over to that industry. From a culture standpoint, it’s also a bad fit. I will leave it to others who have greater interest and reasons to join and create that change. Gotta pick

I’m satisfied with my decision 20 years ago to not get a job in the video games industry. Every time I track progress into whether it’s changed enough that I would want a job there, I see evidence that it’s just not a fit for me. If anything, it seems worse than 20 years ago.

I learn plenty from the Internets, sometimes I haz something to regurgitate.

Hey, first of all. You’re making a lot of good points.

I’m OK with replacing the master/slave terms with things like parent/child and manager/worker and other alternatives.

One of their leaders personally told me that they didn’t want to alienate game developers by condemning racism.

Rodrigo Duterte called
