This all started with League of Legends (and FIFA Ultimate Team). It took a lifetime to grind for heroes that cost 6300 credits, and those credits are better spent on runes. The opportunity cost of heroes (to runes) means pay to win is very much a thing for LoL. We are okay with them doing this just because the base

1. He hammered the union in the last CBA.

You’re right. I feel like his touting has gone under the radar, too.

In the college house I shared with my friends, the evil thing to do was to put that massive tub of cheese balls on someone’s desk and they would inevitably eat themselves sick. This became a regular prank. Fuck those abominations, give me the white cheddar Cheeto puffs all day long.

Paying real money also provides a significant statistical advantage in League of Legends - one of the most watched competitive games in the world and whose entire point is based on competing with other players.

The graphics look incredible. As someone who hasn’t been following any of the details of the new Xbox One models - will my original Xbox One (which is collecting dust on my shelf while I indulge my Dota 2 addiction) be able to run this game optimally? Or should I expect framerate drops or worse visuals?

Worth pointing out that I grew up buying games in the 90s that were each $50. Now, it sure seems from the outside like it takes a much more work and money to make a video game, and I’m buying games for... $60 at most. Often I’m getting them cheaper from the Amazon prime perk or Steam sales. So I don’t mind DLC at all.

Yeah, came here to say this. The NFL can suspend anyone for anything, regardless of what evidence it has or how it came to the conclusion it did (wanted to). I don’t even know why people think an injunction can be obtained for him to play week 1.

Eh, he’s only really been good at being fast and dribbling past people. Everything else - particularly his decision making - has been so, so poor over the years. This all makes for a worthwhile winger but how anyone can view him as a central midfielder is bewildering to me.

Fuck it man, for better or for worse, I don’t want anyone else managing Arsenal for now. A league won with another manager would never be as satisfying as a league won with him.

Also wondering where this “growing wealth” is coming from. Arsenal’s wealth - in terms of what it could use on its actual team - was destroyed in the period during and after the building of their new stadium. Thanks to the TV deals Spurs are probably slightly better off than Arsenal were, but maintaining even status

The NBA has the worst structure of a pro sports league imaginable. In addition to the very good points in the article, consider:

That this is a story should give you a pretty good idea of, compared to every other sport in existence, how stupid the last minute of a basketball game is.

Sounds like your problem is with the board, not the manager - if Wenger leaves, it’s not like the board changes.

Arsenal don’t need a manager who “specializes” in masochism, no matter how elegantly he can wax about his suffering; they need one who will push the board to spend more on star players, fight to keep developing talent, and, most importantly, not settle for good enough.

He likes to single out and alienate big money players to make examples of them in attempts to get the rest of them in marching order. He’s been at Man United half a year and has already done this to Mkhitaryan, Shaw, and Martial.

Perhaps not condemnation. But celebration? And on the same day as a civil rights leader?

Arsene publicly blamed the refs because it worked - nearly all of the headlines afterwards were about referees and zoos and few were about that catastrophic performance of his team.

I watch the occasional match of Dota 2 but I really don’t think MOBAs are any easier to follow.

Remember when football posts on this site were of things other than injuries?
