Look, when you create an engine like Melee—which quite literally takes a lifetime for a player to master—you can’t then place so many restrictions on it in its sequels and expect the following to be the same. And let’s face it, that’s the way it was designed.

In terms of one that doesn’t benefit a team I love, I think the easy answer is Gary Anderson’s missed kick for the Vikings in the 1998 playoffs. We were headed for a Super Bowl matchup of two REALLY good teams, instead we got the Broncos annihilating the Falcons.

Two moments from Arsenal’s 2011 Champions League knockout in Barcelona, because I think that game had quite a butterfly effect on both teams:

I voted for Ryu. If they can get one Capcom character, might as well get the best one.

I'm not sure why they are so desperate to make the extra point less assured, because I like the idea that two field goals don't equal a touchdown. Also not sure why we want to put more responsibility in the hands of kickers.

I thought they had a limit of playing ranked with only one other "known" teammate? (Again, my knowledge is two years old).

I haven't played in about two years, but the most toxicity I encountered was generally from people playing their promotion matches in ranked. You have to win three of five games to achieve promotion, else you remain in your division and have to get another series of good results to make it back to your promotion

Sure the Browns would be great, but the Redskins would be another level of great.

Agree that they need to move Sterling to the front three. What happened to Markovic? He had some good games at the wide spot.

This article would have been on point last year, or the year before, but aside from that high profile disaster at home to Monaco, his finishing has been outstanding this year.

Jynx was actually the newest hero when I quit!

Question from an ex-player: Do the new champions still debut as frustratingly strong characters, giving more credence to the theory that Riot wants to cash in on selling them before they balance the game?

Can this be appealed to the FCC? Wasn't part of their net neutrality the ability to review harmful ISP practices?

Shocking to see "controller" completely absent from that Xbox One list. It's the only reason I made the choice I did, and I'm happy with it, because more than a decade and three generations after appending analog sticks to its original controller in that weird position, Sony has still failed to grasp basic ergonomics!

So am I the only one who really enjoyed Cloud Atlas?

As soon as they began tossing around the phrase "domestic violence space", I figured I'd be reading something like this soon enough.

I'm just going to say this here: Whoever organized this tournament is a total moron for picking the weekend of the Super Bowl.

Oh, come on. A blizzard during Super Bowl week would have been terrific.

I don't see how "running up the score whenever they can" is a bad thing to say about a professional sports team. All it means to me is that they would have won the game the Packers lost.

Wait, so you still NEED a joystick for the X-Wing/TIE fighter games? I played the first half of TIE Fighter using just a mouse back in the day, and it worked well enough. Is there a way around this?
