The goalkeeper was forward, so there was only one defender between Vertonghen and the goal. Still outrageous that this can happen in "the best league in the world", though.

He's not taking anything from Roy Hodgson, though.
What everyday thing are you better at than everyone else?
Positively.
The best thing they could possibly do for the community is eliminate ranked matches altogether.
I'm also wondering why there's no discussion on the play of the Cowboys' offensive line on the final drive, there were fairly obvious holds on many of the key plays.
Not as long as each review comes out of a team's bank of challenges.
It's hard to justify a case for land in NYC if nobody gives a shit about the team. If money is the only obstacle, why haven't they been able to make any progress to this point?
I didn't mean to comment on league quality—I confess I'm sort of a snob and have a hard time watching anything outside of England, Spain, Germany, and UCL. But the guys you mention got exposure from the national team, not MLS. I think that if you want to attract buyers (especially outside of England) there are plenty…
That's actually a terrific point on NYCFC eating the fees. If the player signs the contract with NYCFC, though, doesn't it have to count as a designated player? It doesn't seem like you can just have NYC front the entire fee without signing the player to a contract at all.
Given that you can only pay three players "star" salaries in MLS, with the rest subject to their salary cap, it's hard to see NYCFC sustaining as a feeder club. They still need a stadium, and if their cap is tied up in Man City players, they'd be lucky to get one in the Catskills.
I ate up the Suarez bite and Germany 7-1 Brazil as much as anyone, but 2014 in soccer has to belong to Atletico.
If the game is good and deep enough to warrant a competitive scene, unlike its previous iteration, then good players will find ways to beat him. Just like Starcraft 1&2, and Shiek in SSBM.
The reason the new Thief game was an atrocity was because they made the levels as linear as a Doom or Serious Sam, whereas the sandbox format of missions of earlier games was essential to the formula.
Yes, once you disable the reminders in the UI the game improves immensely.
Even if you assume that players would do that—and potentially forfeit a ton of money on a next potential contract for the decent ones—the doctors would not answer to the individual players, but the association, who surely wouldn't be dumb and/or slick enough to pull off stunts like that.
In a perfect world, doctors would not be employed by teams, but answer to the NFLPA instead.
This is where I miss SSB Melee, though... it seems like all the characters recover so well that guarding the stage seems fruitless to the point where the "knock them off the stage" concept is wasted.
Where is "diabetes"?
I may have saved $100 last year and bought the PS4 instead of the XBone, but I can't get over that goddamn controller. First, to have the primary control method not in the primary thumb location, the PS4 is ergonomically inferior. I get that many are used to it—I was used to the PS controller through PS1, 2, and 3—…
