I stopped reading comics regularly years ago (not lack of desire, just lack of time), but it seemed to me that he was kind of a victim of his (or Starlin's) success. Marvel doesn't want to give up the character, but they also have already taken him to his logical, nihilistic conclusion a couple of times.

The odds they do Thanos right are pretty close to nil. Part of the gravity the character has had in the MU for the last twenty years is that he killed nearly every hero (and half of the rest of the universe) in the Infinity Gauntlet series. I don't think movies are going to be able to do that storyline the same way.

To be fair, it's been that way in comics since at least the rise in popularity of "widescreen comics", which is kind of ironic since it was often described as an attempt to tell stories in a more "cinematic" way.

In a way, it's the adaptation that is most faithful to the spirit of the original comics.

I really like LeBron, but you are just killing it.

No, the men are all architects.

If she's that easily replaceable, then the salary differential isn't really a problem, because it's a reflection of fundamentals. I have difficulty believing that Redmayne was so much more valuable, though, that he could get 10 times what Seyfried did, while at the same time the studio would have shown her the door

You're just bitter because she cut off your head.

Different strokes, I guess, but the five to ten second difference isn't really worth it in my opinion. The only reason I can see for pulling into a (non-angled) parking space is if you have groceries or something else to load in the back.

Front license plates are an abomination.

Given the number of traffic fatalities and injuries each year, it's not really that insignificant a thing to care about. And yes, I would generalize from someone's ability to back a car into a space to their ability to operate the vehicle at speed.

Your options are "face where the cars are moving" or "face away from where cars are moving." In what world is the latter preferable?

No one "abruptly throws" a car into reverse. They brake, come to a complete stop, and then begin reversing. If you can't stop moving towards them in that time, or have been following them so closely that they're going to back into you while attempting to back into a space, you are the problem.

"strong economic productivity" link appears to be a mistake

The dullest of all the Starks? Did they announce an enlarged role for Rickon?

His AV Club interview is a thing of beauty too. Kind of the way a nuclear explosion can be appreciated from a suitable distance.

Interesting strategy for Benioff and Weiss. "You think our fantasy show is misogynistic? Let's all take a minute to reset that bar of yours with some classic '80s-'90s fantasy courtesy of Canada's craziest man."

I've got a tenner that the word "honeyed" will be involved.

To clarify, chapter 11 bankruptcy is actually just known as "Reorganization." It is often used by corporations, but it is simply the general chapter for non-liquidating bankruptcies. The other principal types of bankruptcy are chapter 7 ("Liquidation") and chapter 13 (consumer reorganization, or "Adjustment of Debts
