All I want is what's beyond the Thunderdome. And the juice. Gotta have the juice.

Estates!!! Why can't we get estates and tourings in the US?

Girlfriend and I went to the Smokey Mountains for a couples weekend. The upper tank of her car's radiator decided to explode (literally) a hundred yards from on cabin's driveway, at the top of the mountain, on what would best be described as a wide one-lane road.

Guys who want more sexy wagons, join my Facetube group/petition to bring the Focus Wagon to the U.S. Sure, it's not likely Ford will listen, but there is strength in numbers!

How many of you have seen the new Lexus commercials where the driver is using his iDrive clone to sift through the menu icons on his infotainment system, while he is driving? This is the sort of stuff I feel LaHood is talking about. How aware of your situation can you be if you're donking around on your car's

Agree. Simple, intuitive controls that are within easy reach are what we need while operating a motor vehicle, not fancy touch screens and the like. It's the reason I rarely use my iPod touch while driving - I have to look at the screen to change tracks.

I was about to say that is one high-maintenance broad, but then I saw she drove a Saab and thought, chicks hate being called broads.

"even if Americans themselves aren't demanding them. Or buying them. Or talking about them. Or, you know, thinking remotely about them." Lies, I say! I created a Facebook petition specifically in the hopes that Ford will bring the Focus Estate to the U.S. It worked for getting Betty White on SNL, so who knows.

Didn't realize that, but should have guessed GM wouldn't be alone.

Saw two e30 wagons a couple years ago at a small shop/car lot that specialized in M sales and repairs. One was black with an auto, and another red with a manual. It blew my mind to actually see and touch these cars in person.

GM uses these already.

Display in the rear view mirror. Issue resolved. Personally, if I had to have a rear view camera, this is where I would want it anyway - along with my compass heading and outside temp display.

I have loved the looks of that car since I was a kid. The only car I like better is an e39 M5. So comfy, so quick, so well mannered. le sigh.

True, but the original argument was that there is no such thing as affordable luxury. Let's use your point above about the $3k 7-series. I postulate that any car he bought in the $3k dollar range would have eventually left him broke from the cost of repairs. A $3k car is that cheap for a reason.

That applies to all people buying cars outside their budget, and that's just silly.

Using your logic, a person who can afford the note and maintenance on a $5000 used Focus shouldn't buy one because the car cost $16k new.

It's a joke where I am the punchline.

5 under here as well. And why is it every time I get to a stop sign, the damn thing never turns green. After a few minutes of sitting there, I throw caution to the wind and run it.

All I saw were lovely boobies.

Wish I saw this before I posted it too. GMTA!
