It makes me happy to hear that there’s someone out there in advertising that actually “gets it”.

“Power of American engineering” - sounds like something Chrysler would try to say.
I think in Europe Manny new cars will flash their hazard lights of the brakes are applied hard enough.
I’m all for this as well. Or, have a default level of brightness (e.g.: driving lights), then a “brake applied” brightness, then it gets progressively brighter the harder the pedal is stomped. This is something I’ve been thinking about for way too long.
Kinja will always live on...
The other option that exists is registering it as a kit car, which, I am guessing, is more difficult. At least up here in Alberta, it’s a pretty basic checklist that they go through to see if it should be allowed on the roads. I haven’t looked too much into the process, but they see if you have things like brakes,…
I really want to learn to work with sheet metal like that. I’ve got this crazy idea that I want to build a car-top-carrier/roof-box in the style of an old 1940s style aircraft - shiny aluminum, rounded, etc.
Anyone here done any work with sheet metal like what’s on these rocket cars?
Isn’t that true for most cars - if they break apart at speed, bad things happen?
How so?
You wouldn’t need to tack when going into the wind.
It’s a shame you can’t post the name of the place that uses this. Sometimes public shaming really needs to be done.
I always thought corn harvesters looked mean:
Nope, no messing around with torque. A Case Quadtrac has ~2800 Nm of torque That’s a bit over 2000 ft/lb.
This comment totally fits your user name. It really is an interesting sort of question though. I’m pretty sure in France they call french fries “frites”. No French in front. Maybe other places also just drop the name?
Those who can, do. Those who can’t become school administrators?
Columbine happened in 1999. That’s well before the kid was even born, so you can’t blame him for being too ignorant. Having had engineer roommates, it’s surprising what little common social sense they have - let alone a 14 year old kid.
Did the kid who did that get anything more than a stern warning?
Someone should start a scholarship collection for the kid.
Yep. Ignore the problem long enough and it goes away, right?
I’m sure there’s an MBA thesis in there somewhere...
I thought 90s Fords also had that same issue - especially the Tempo/Topaz/Taurus.
