I could be interested in writing a mapping app that would show a .map file's contents on Google Maps (or OpenStreet). Anyone have any idea what the file format is like, or could anyone send me a sample file?

It sounds a bit like "cervix".

I'd be okay with that, minus the pleats.

I'm guessing you don't have children...

Sounds like a good topic for another post!

I'm more of a fan of an 80's electronic band named "Supersonic Bacon Train", but that does have a certain ring to it.

When I first saw the headline, I was thinking it had to be Florida. Color me surprised.

Really though, the person sounds nuts. Find me a biblical reference to anything about pentagrams. I dare you.

I certainly wouldn't reject the idea of a Mazda. I do quite like the way the CX-5 looks, and I've heard good things about how the 5 handles.

Another option that I wouldn't mind checking out is the Chevy Orlando (sold up here in Canada, but not the U.S.). Even brand new they seem to be quite inexpensive. I keep

How does your brother like it? From what brief reading I've been able to do, it does sound like head room is slightly reduced with the new Volt. It'd be interesting to get a chance to sit in one.

Interesting.

My wife currently drives a 2-door Cavalier, and we're looking for some sort of suitable replacement for it. Ideally I'd like a plug-in hybrid, but we might have to settle for something cheaper in the mean time. I'm kind of digging the idea of a Honda Element or CR-V, or something like that. They both

Do you have two or three car seats? My wife and I currently have one child, but will likely have more. The third rear seat definitely makes it more appealing.

Nope - five.

I want one too.

It might take that long too, if you rooted for the Canucks....

(Just kidding. Vancouver is a fine place. Except the fault line and East Hastings).

I recall hearing something about that Rav4 - the engineers actually had a little bit of fun on it, and that it was somehow the fastest thing that Toyota was making at the time.

Move the firewall back, and fudge the interior. I've seen an LS stuffed into a Civic. They had to move the entire dashboard back about 4", but they did it!

Step 1. LS swap.
Step 2. Hoon.

The Model S fairs well in Norway. Shouldn't be any different in Finland.

This is McLaren we are talking about, not Ferrari.

Of course the chances of a Ferrari self-immolating is about the same as gambling on the stock market, so I guess it evens out in the end.

As much of a bad rap as canned ham gets, I actually like the stuff. Slice it thinly and fry it up, and it's pretty tasty. Even the really sketchy stuff - like dollar store quality ham.

Now that potted meat product... that's where I draw the line.
