That looks... special.

I suppose that's not too bad. It's sort of a shame they don't offer a plug-in hybrid model, like they are supposed to with the Mitsubishi Outlander. Even if the electric only range was only 40 km, it'd be very useful.

Interesting. I thought it was more or less the same as the Calibre, which only has two rows.

That's pretty awesome. I think SUVs get a bad wrap - and most of the time it is justified. The presence of something like a locking diff tells me that it isn't just some 2WD soccer-mom-mobile. That makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside.

Very interesting! Thanks for sharing!

Very interesting!

There's actually been a time or two that I wish my Civic had locking differentials. Somehow I get the feeling that that's something a Civic has never had...

I find my self in situations surprisingly often where a little more ground clearance would be nice. I might not be in Buffalo, but I am in Canada, and where we currently live we have to head out of a snow-filled back alley whenever we want to go anywhere. I've also got family who live out in the country on some

Santa Fe doesn't have a third row option, though, does it?

So true!

Very intriguing. I wonder what fuel economy numbers will be like. The only other similar vehicle I can think of is the Chevy Orlando, which is supposedly quite a bit less expensive, but also doesn't seem to come with a similar range of engines.

Also, is the AWD system any decent? Could a person give this thing a

I had a similar experience up here in Canada. The original recall was issued years ago - like three years ago, at least in the U.S.. I had heard about it via Jalopnik, and asked about it here, and they said they knew nothing about it. Then, three years later, I get a notice in the mail saying that my car should be

For some reason that sounds really familiar. Did you post it on Oppo when it happened?

I assume that newer fuel-rail diesels have high enough pressure pumps that it just stuffs it through, no matter the state?

More likely for filming Jurassic Park... that's a pretty hefty looking tripod on the back.

I'd love to have a unimog and build a custom camper for the back. The least expensive one I've seen was, I think, $11k, and it was a 1970 404.

Now you've got me curious - has the tech changed much since then? With regular diesel from the pump, is it necessary to add something to it to prevent it from gelling in particularly cold conditions?

I hope not. Original tires would be in pretty scary condition by now, even if they were kept dry/out of sunlight.

Craziness. I suppose if I had a fancier ride, I'd use something better. I've been using regular Quaker State 5W20. I've put on 141,000+ km, so I guess it can't be too bad.

$100 per oil change? What kind of oil is it using?

Don't worry - only half those features work at any given point. So, they are pretty much equivalent.
