Nice. I've been keeping an eye on used Volt prices - they are getting down there, and I'm getting more curious. Unfortunately GM keeps doing stupid things, like blocking Tesla sales in Michigan, and that keeps me away.

Now whether that's also one mile before it needs to be serviced/fixed/bursts into flame remains to be seen...

Not to get sidetracked, but how did you like the Volt?

Sometimes it can take a day or two for a gas cap related CEL to clear itself.

This was a pretty common issue on 2001-ish Ford Focuses (Focii?). The o-ring on the gas cap would eventually flatten, causing a pressure leak.

I actually think this is a pretty smart idea.

Open diffs, even in a pickup truck?

That also explains why most other CUVs are garbage when it comes to actually needing any sort of real traction. But you are right, most people do tend to go with the cheapest option, which is a bit of a shame.

In a sense, the dealers are right - they don't want you to haggle. They want you to bend over and take it.

I think it's a realistic test. Imagine pulling from off the street onto an icy driveway. That'd be almost exactly like this.

One of the craziest situations I've seen was when I was probably close to 20 years ago when I was in Scouts. Our Scout meetings were in a building at the bottom of a hill. During our

I know I'm way late to the party, but you might want to check out Scratch or ALICE. Both offer a bit of a different approach to teaching programming.

I've wondered about wiper blades like that - do they block much of the view?

Someone else on here mentioned that it wasn't much different - a slight hump in the frunk.

Nez Rouge?

That's definitely a terrible design. I'm 100% with you.

My understanding is that the i3 was quite similar - you hardly ever have to use the brakes.

That makes me wonder - would it be possible to do almost 100% regen alone? Or maybe some way of starting with regen, then fading in regular braking in a non-abrupt way?

Without the gas range extender, the i3 doesn't go any further. It's definitely more of a performance vehicle than the i3.

Honestly, out of the current batch of plug-in hybrids, the Prius is probably the worst. It has one of the shorted electric only ranges.

Ctrl-C might be the better option though - it would let you make a copy of the key without the owner knowing. As soon as they find out it's been stolen, it'd be game over. The longer they don't know...
