I thought the base models were around $200. I guess that doesn't seem like a lot to me, as I remember when handy-cams used to costs $1000 or more.

It isn't just about physical distractions, it's about mental distractions. It doesn't matter if you have your hands busy or not, if you aren't paying attention to a stopped tractor trailer on the road head of you, you'll likely hit it.

... or the wealthy ones just buy everything out of state.

Reminds me of the story of my great grandfather who was a milk truck driver during the first world war. He would have to turn off his truck and coast it down hills to save fuel because it was being rationed.

After being electric, I think that's the second most awesome feature about the car.
