I'd rather hear a good bivalve story than have someone clam up and not say a word.

That's awesome. I've often thought it would be hilarious to do something similar with a high performance car in the body of something bigger/slower. Imagine a minivan peeling away to reveal a LeMans prototype car, or something like that.

I'd rather have a Gremlin.

A fridge flipping battle bot? Awesome.

That white interior is going to get dirty, quick.

I actually think this looks pretty decent. A perky sounding engine in a small vehicle (with a stick!), that has a decent amount of cargo space. Isn't that what we've been whining for over the past while?

I'm with you on that.

Looks like a magnifying glass to me.

I prefer the late '90s model - like a '97. Everything since then has been bigger and uglier.

Maybe someone borked a render?

'73 Beetle.

They are the only ones left with enough money to buy them? Either that, or we can all hope that it will result in tons of lower costing knock-offs?

Good to know. I'll have to file that away in the recesses of my brain for the time that I buy an MR2...

Just out of curiosity, what sort of vehicle do you drive? Most of the DRLs that I have seen just run the regular headlights (not high beams) at 80% or so.

Pointless exercise in failed legislation? Clearly you don't live above the 49th parallel... or anywhere else where it gets dark earlier in winter. They really do make a vehicle that much more visible, especially at dusk when people often forget to turn their lights on or haven't yet realized that its getting dark.

Agreed. I'd rather have them make a stripped out model that has none of that fancy stuff. It all gets outdated and looks terrible in 10 years anyway. Then again, if it helps the resale value drop faster...

Building cars for people who don't buy cars? Isn't that a bit like making beef burgers for vegetarians?

Idiot marketing or idiot consumers for still thing it's a great deal?

That's actually really funny.

Looks like Darwin has been slacking lately...
