I honestly totally forgot that scum bucket was even running.

Doesn’t Diane Keaton have severe OCD? Because if she’s terrified that everyone in that photo is covered in germs, it shows.

Teen Witch is a masterpiece.

I’m not so sure. I think Sarah’s right and he has empathy. If he did do it, he’s just manipulative. But I don’t think it’s possible he’s a psychopath, because he’s never exhibited any kind of antisocial behavior before. We’re not dealing with a Leopold & Loeb situation here.

I just finished my third listen-through of Serial yesterday. The first time through, I was pretty convinced he was guilty. Now, I’m more uncertain than ever, but the basic fact is that the case against him is pretty damn thin, from a legal perspective.

I’ll take this and Chex Quest, please.

I’m really excited for this movie. I grew up in Georgia and I’m sick of people pretending that slavery didn’t happen, or it somehow didn’t hurt anybody, and 12 Years a Slave did a great job of not pulling any punches.

I’m gonna just take this opportunity to complain that Burnt was the dumbest, most uninformed movie about working in restaurants that I’ve ever seen.

“I am Mike Huckabee and I am hip and in touch even though I am vocally disgusted by about 70% of Americans.”

Sometimes I wish I was a panda.

You’re so right. I was outraged that DuVerney and Oyelowo were snubbed, too. They did incredible work.

This thread really makes me miss Behind Closed Ovens :(

I was always the loneliest Downton fan because I loved Edith and hated Mary. Edith had this clumsy journey toward becoming a modern woman (I have no idea what’s happened since her fox of an editor disappeared, though, so maybe she’s been raped and taken down a notch GoT-style since then), whereas Mary, though she had

I’m kind of amazed that hasn’t shown up on Jezebel yet. I’m really bummed that Charlotte Rampling is one of those people that thinks you can be racist against whites.

This was like reading a horror movie.

I want this stitched on a pillow.

Yeah, why does Jezebel keep lionizing this person? The flag hijab move was cool but give it a rest.

Yeah, I always thought it was weird that Russell was casting her at 22 as a woman who’s already been married for a few years and then widowed (SLP), the divorced mother of a six year old at 23 (American Hustle) and now a woman in her mid-thirties to late forties with a bunch of kids at 25.

Yeah, there were probably more deserving nominees, especially if being in a good movie is a pre-requisite for an Oscar nom. I still love J.Law, I just don’t want her to become the Johnny Depp to David O. Russell’s Tim Burton. She’s a great actress. I’d love to see her do something new, and I’m hella excited for her

I’m still listening and have no plans to quit, but this season is definitely missing that element of Sarah and the subject conversing. It’s Mark Boal talking to Bowe Bergdahl, not her, and somehow that makes it all a little less personal, because she’s going off his tapes. Before, we were dealing with Sarah’s own
