It’s weird how they chose to make Dr. Strange (in all the MCU movies) an insufferably witty, arrogant, and reckless genius, completely UNLIKE Tony Stark. Not lazy and redundant, but “weird.” The flick still looks good though.

I feel like criticizing media critics for writing critiques is an extension of the whole anti-media movement. While neo-cons embrace discrediting the media, others may not even realize their propensity to do the same.

It’s because they are so of their times thematically...The blockbuster schlock factories’ profit-maximizing filmmaking formulas don’t allow for a lot of those themes to exist in the modern superhero movies (even though they could work great).

I personally prefer documentaries’ that aren’t overly slanted (this had some slant). It lets the individuals involved and the relevant issues really breathe. I also think it reveals more about the perpetrators’ motives and their psychological makeup.
I feel like there is a much more Depeche Mode-esque middle ground that could actually represent a better version of the original song.
