What if my steel parts are covered in shiny grime?

If they’re going to shove a shitload of advertisements and product placement down my throat then yes, they damn well better not be charging me for it too.
But they are, and they would be, so, I didn’t watch any of it. At all.

Plus, everything is CGI. CGI has come a long way, but I don’t think anyone’s brain mistakes it for the real deal. Armies of CGI soldiers or catastrophes feel weightless and meaningless. It’s like going to a magic show and knowing the woman sawed in half isn’t really sawed in half, so you aren’t really concerned.

There was almost a Starfleet Academy movie, which would have been released six months before Undiscovered Country, in 1991 (the franchise’s 25th anniverary). It would have been about Kirk and Spock in their cadet days, and their first big adventure together. From what I’ve read about the script, a lot of it got

Completely agree, and that’s why I’m not as excited as I would like to be about Star Trek: Discovery.

I could not agree more. Well said.

Well said. It’s so ironic how a franchise so manifestly about the future has been trapped in its own past since 2002. It boggles the mind, really. For the life of me I can't comprehend what makes the powers that be so eager to retread what's long gone. All it does is create continuity issues. I just can't wrap my head

Star Trek Federation really sounds like it could have been interesting. I’ve always thought that the way for Star Trek to move forward is by actually moving forward: no reboots, no going back in time, always be set in a future period than previous series.

The biggest axe against it being an alien megastructure project is the fact its an F-type star. F-types only live a couple billion years, depending on mass.

Really bummed they dropped the Native American angle, that was easily the most interesting aspect of Prey.

Yup. Or, you can get a good electric toothbrush and keep that gunk off far more effectively.

The story wasn't very good but I always thought Kilmer put on some fantastic performances in his various disguises.

Right on. And the cool soundtrack sounds as if it could have been released last week.

The Val Kilmer reboot of The Saint was a completely ridiculous movie....AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH! And I liked having a protagonist who not only wasn’t a fighter, but ran from them. He lived by his wits.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan just beat 11 people do death with a baseball bat, and boy are his arms tired

According to the Young Indiana Jones Chronicles, Indy was still alive in 1993.

Anyone who watched the Adventures of Young Indiana Jones know he survives long after the time this movie will be set.

a) That was amazing.

Now playing

It sounds very similar to the “Justice Lords” arc from the DCAU (only with Joker instead of Flash and more killin because Comics not TV)

The DCAU one is best because it eventually leads to this moment:
