For me, the son threatening to prove his point with a gun was what sold me on the movie. Narratively, and removed from the characters, it isn’t a great deal of suspense (because it’s Bruce Willis, as the lead character in ‘peril’). But if you are able to empathize with either of the adults in the scene, it’s chilling…
