Me too. Unlike some photo contests, this one does not require exclusive rights to the winners images. So they are free to sell them however they wish.

Welcome to Lifehacker.

Really not a fan of clickbaity “how can I [whatever]” headlines that have a bunch of SEO terms and end in “you can’t”

Would be more accurate for this list to be titled most influential, which is much harder since MTV stopped playing videos. Possibly TikTok has a similar effect now, briefly, when music goes viral and people are exposed to something they never would have appreciated otherwise (minus the videos). Without something like

I’m guessing the person or people did this list based on basic research and didn’t actually live through MTV’s 80s and 90s period before it turned into a pop culture channel. For pure music videos, Land of Confusion should have definitely been on there. Thriller is always #1. Smells like Teen Spirit should have been

The fact that Massive Attack’s not on this list tells me that a Millennial Yank compiled this list. Petals.

Well this certainly was a list of 50 videos.

ETA: I get it now, the article was not a list of the 50 greatest music videos, it was a prompt for the commenters to generate such a list.

I won’t.

Regarding this reboot: Sometimes dead is better.

The 5-10% of usage that needs to use the generator during peak usage doesn’t make the remaining 90% moot.

A modern gasoline ICE is ~20-25% thermally efficient (that is, they extract 20-25% of the possible “work” from the gasoline and the rest is discarded as waste heat). Turbodiesels can get up near 40%. A decades-old, dirty-ass coal plant can get to around 60%, some of the very modern LNG plants can get to 80%. The

Battery swap station? What the heck was that guy thinking? Tesla gave up on that one a decade ago. But the “investigative journalist” wrote about it in ‘22? Kinda seems like the dude went looking for a negative article, and didn’t realize how easy it is to do that with ‘ole Elon just based on current events.

Magic Actions for Youtube looks promising, but after you add it to chrome, it becomes *VERY* sus... Requires you to disable all ad-blocking and web protection plugins and apps. Use it at your own peril. I’m staying the heck away from it!!

Came here for this.

...and install 7-Zip like most of us did 10 years ago.

100%. Might want to add - delete WinRAR and install 7-Zip.

Question: Is there a list of companies / printers that are confirmed NOT to do this kind of stuff? I have a Dell (rebranded Xerox, i think) color laser that’s long in the tooth and in need of update (Chromebooks / phones can’t print to it anymore after CloudPrint shut down).

I wish I knew more about machine programing. I’d be writing custom firmware for HP printers and giving it out for free just because of how much I hate this type of scummy corporate approach to enslaving customers and forcing follow up purchases. It would be my #1 favorite hobby. Maybe I should look into learning,

People won’t even change lanes to pass slower cars in some parts of the country (PA, I’m looking at you) and will tailgate dangerously instead of doing so. Most people are pretty incapable of anything but basic vehicle operation (and general problem solving).
