Look at people who believe in a sky daddy. This is not surprising.

Would this device be able to EASILY turn off televisions in doctor’s offices waiting rooms? If so, I would definitely considering purchasing. There is only so much Guy Fieri I can take.

Honestly, I still thing the best Tron sequel was the PC video game, Tron 2.0. I’d just like to have seen that adapted. I loved the first movie and wanted to love the 2nd so much - but it didn’t quite click. I liked Tron Uprising at any rate.

Missed opportunity for a pun headline like, “How to Dragon your Train.”

People fear what they don’t know or don’t understand. Understanding and learning about it takes time and effort. Its far easier to stuff your head in the dirt and say “ban it!” And then feel safer that the government is protecting you from those bad bad people. Security through obscurity is a failure.

A device like the flipper zero could easilly be made at home by a bad actor. These security vulnerabilities have always existed if the power company refuses to beef up their security thats on them. If there is a bluetooth vulnerability that lets a hacker shut down your phone you should be mad at the phone

Any outrage at such a device is just because idiots keep trying to do security through obscurity. Just because something travels over invisible radio waves doesn’t mean it’s secret.

If there’s any security measure that this thing can crack and that’s considered a problem, then it needs to be changed to use encryption

This device should have never been made and should be banned with a prison sentence attached.

Here's the thing, something like this becoming readily and widely available is a good thing in my opinion. It drives security improvement and exposes flaws. Instead of trying to ban the sale of the device how about you actually improve your security so it can't be completely bypassed by a single device. Law

Flippers don’t hack people. People hack people.

Not talking about dangerous things is fucking stupid.

If we can’t protect our infrastructure from a $170 toy, we got no chance against China et al.

The Flipper Zero is no more dangerous than a lockpick. Although lots of people only ever see the bad, the actual intended audience of the device can very easily see exactly what good such a thing has to offer.

I bet toojayzee wants to make the existence of fire illegal too, since you can use it to burn houses down. Or water, since you can drown people.

To be fair, the article does not say or have the tone that you should get one to use against “people you do not like.” Also being fair, the article is not a piece about being “good” to your neighbor or building a better world. The article simply talks about technology, you personally seem to take an affront to a lock

I think you part of the headline.

Better yet, uninstall that bloated dogshit and get 7zip. It’s faster at extracting and compressing all formats anyway, and with no ads or spyware.

Notice I said it should be legal. So in the scenario I proposed, no one would be going to jail, well maybe the crackhead if they survived.

You do have to wonder how many looked at it, knew what it was, but didn’t say anything because they didn’t want to admit they knew what it was.

Another way to curb thefts is to shoot anyone you find damaging or trying to steal your property, it should be legal to protect your valuables with deadly force. And for anyone who wants to ask if a catalytic converter or any other material item is worth more than a life, that’s not a question for me, that’s a
