The Oscar acceptance one is pretty funny. I like when she does Taylor Swift.

Ditto.
same! i actually think it'd be great for her image. Sort of like what two and a half men did for Charlie Sheen. Or what Californication did for admitted sex-addict David Duchovney.
Woah, same.
The writing in all these comics is terrible. But that line alone was truly the worst.
Some person pointed out earlier that Megan seems to know Don as a man and might know how to make him happy that way, but that Peggy knows him as a person, which goes way deeper than the man. I agree, if that makes any sense at all haha.
Yeah, she seems pretty independent. I think Don likes women who have their own thing going on, but nothing too important and i seems Megan might just be too much for him in the long run. I would just hate to see him make another perfectly good woman feel insecure, or emotionally beaten down once more. Its the little…
Joan pretty much had a problem with every woman in that office that day, until she spoke to Lane. However, having deep seeded worries that she's not needed and that her job is at stake, and seeing Megan go from nothing to so much so quickly (while she stayed at home with her baby no less) might have something to do…
I really dislike when people ask for an apology, get it, and then throw it back in someone's face. That being said, am I weird for actually liking Megan? I think she's pretty cool.
haha, i vote yes.
umm, does anyone else keep on forgetting Gwyneth Paltrow is part of this universe? Everytime i see a clip of her or any promotional stuff involving her with The Avengers, or even Iron Man for that matter, my reaction is always "Oh, right... She's in this too."
I do think employers need a law or something to protect them as well. Specially, like you said, if they are hesitant to hire people because in the end they can get really screwed. Specially those with small or start-up businesses. Thanks for the response!
Yeah, i guess i just know a few too many (not in AZ though) that have quit abruptly and were pretty much fine afterwards. So it was just hard to see how "at-will" would benefit employees. I does seem to protect employers a lot more, which is also a good thing cause sometimes there are people who do need to be fired…
Yeah, that's what i thought. That this "at-will" system benefits the employer more than the employee. But i understand how they (employers) would need that protection as well.
Yeah, you're right. It's hard to dispute being fired. I just couldn't understand how not giving a reason at all would actually be more helpful in these situations. But it's true. Its very hard to make a good case out of it. Thank you for making it clearer
"any hiring is presumed to be "at will"; that is, the employer is free to discharge individuals "for good cause, or bad cause, or no cause at all," and the employee is equally free to quit, strike, or otherwise cease work"—When its explained like that it makes sense, i don't know how well it works when its applied,…
Can't a person always quit without reason? Unless its sone sort of a contract job?
Thank you. So if i'm fired i can't ask why? What if, as @Small-fox mentioned, by firing me they violated some law based on religion, race, gender, etc? and I decided to sue, would i not be able to just because they never gave me a reason?— I don't understand how this logic works, or how a business can be run like…
Thank you. I still kind don't understand, i mean if you get fired and you have done nothing wrong couldn't you argue you where fired because they had a problem with one of those things? I mean, for example, suppose sexual preference protected by law there. If you're gay and you boss didn't know it, then found out, if…
two questions. What is an "at-will state" i'm seeing that phrase used here referencing people being fired without reason but i don't really understand. Also, i know it seems far-fetched for it to actually become a law, but what do they need in order to make that goal seem more probable? Is it all based on votes? And…
