They could even have had the same actors, but basically had it so Ted had been telling them this story in bits and pieces over nine years. That would have been cute.

Agreed about the multiple endings - they really boxed themselves into a corner. It would have worked five years ago.
All that time in the Mosby Boys and he's learnt how to commit the perfect crime!
JK Rowling wrote the epilogue to Deathly Hallows years before the rest of it. Says it all, really, doesn't it?
My sister sent me at least a dozen snapchats of her pulling hideous faces and screaming as she watched it live! We seem to have very similar families...
What I just wrote on the GT rant thread (don't judge me for the length, I've been watching this show since I was 14. 14!!!!)
HERE BE SPOILERS:
Oh god, you did the original play? The 19th century one? You poor thing! Well I did sit through a version where my school crush played the lead and my worst enemy played the girl he knocks up, not sure that can be beaten for soul-shredding.
Spring Awakening is great, but it's SO MISERABLE. Also, part of the charm of the musical is the way it's staged - audience on the stage etc, which would be difficult to recreate on screen. It's an amazing show but as someone who likes my films cheery and with a happy ending, I'm not sure I'd buy a DVD of it.
Well, speaking as your son in 21 years (and with two X chromosomes), I think it sounds like a marvellous plan!
Mine too! She rocks.
I want to preface this by saying that normally I'm very much a cat person and totally indifferent to small children.
Hahaha
Yes, in a world of over 7 billion people, you are definitely the only person who didn't enjoy Frozen. Bravo!
I do, I'm very lucky!
My Mum did everything in the exact opposite way to most - she only took a few weeks off after having us, went back to work full time, had a full time nanny and expressed milk as well as breastfeeding, and kept working full time until I was six. She then went part time (and was senior enough and with enough established…
I really, really love Leighton Meester, especially her voice. I never understood why people thought Blake Lively was the breakout star of Gossip Girl.
His mum is dead. Where were YOU in 1997?!
I absolutely loved Robin as a character until that episode where it turns out she has no female friends outside Lily. Then I saw her in a far more unflattering light.
I would have enjoyed it more if they hadn't dragged out the Ted-Robin will-they-won't-they until her fucking WEDDING DAY. I think many of us would have been far happier and less irritated if they'd just split them up at the end of Season 2 and HAD THEM STAY SPLIT UP. It got so unimaginably tedious.
