I disagree with the lusting over today's cars. Too much blandness to go around. If what you say is true then why are most late '70s and early-to-mid '80s cars still ignored? I have a very straight '78 Fairmont that may as well be invisible, and I highly doubt anyone will be lusting after it on its 50th birthday.

I would have preferred they physically restrain him to keep him from getting into his car. At least that's what I would have done. I'm a fairly big guy (6'3" and 215) so I think I could have stopped him. Just my nature to get involved, I guess.

I disagree. One has a moral duty to do whatever it takes to keep assholes like this from driving. What if someone you love were to get killed or badly injured by a drunk diver and you found out that no one tried to stop them? You'd be mad as hell, no?
