@NumbersGuy: I'd go with the generic batteries as a start. Make sure you do the proper initial drain/charge cycles to get the max life out of them. Like the other guys say, you'll probably get a money-back/return period on them, so make use of that if you need to.

@CaptJ: Try Windows Live Movie Maker. It's a free MS product that has basic editing controls and is easy to use.

@hextall5hole: I think they've done the maths and realised that they stand to gain more by having a larger user base. I bet they've made more from Elite program sign-ups in January than they did with the combined Pro app + Elite sign-ups revenue in the last quarter... perhaps even two.

@b4rk13: Geezus, what a mission that was restoring my phone. Removing OpeniBoot involved installing libusb for windows and then finding a compiled version of oibc for windows in order to connect to my phone to do the uninstall. Then I still couldn't get into DFU mode, so ended up uninstalling iTunes and related Apple

@rlee: According to Amazon's product description of the current version on sale: "This fully revised and updated edition of the 1944 classic serves as a crucial compilation of 'house rules' or a professional code."

@CamJN: The geek in me dreads the day I'm forced to resort to that option! ;)

I've got iDroid installed as another boot option on my iPhone 3G, but last night I decided that I'd reached a point where I couldn't deal with the extreme lag that's set in any more. As such, I decided to do a restore to factory settings. Half way through it failed and bricked the iPhone, so I thought to myself,

@tallchair: Google Reader actually has a couple of things to help you find subscriptions.

Damn, was quite enjoying the quest until I screwed up on Step 11. Noticed that the URLs were spelling out Dr0box, so instead of 'going home' for Step 12, I just typed in /x in the URL and it jumped to Step 13 instead and I couldn't backtrack, so had to cheat to move ahead. D'oh! :/

@nf0rc3r: Romania has similar scenes, though admittedly not as bad.

@Robb: Oh, that is wicked! Here's some money, sir - which way to the back of the line? :)

@huh989: Head to the Mint contact page scroll to bottom select 'Please support my financial institution!' from the topics provide details and submit.

@Arcus Doxa: Check out my response to @larister above about this.

@larister: See linked response to one of my comments about this from Kristina at Mint. Follow her instructions and request support for your UK bank on the Mint contact page.

@K_REY_C: Haha - whoops! It's late and I'm tired; time to go home, methinks! Thanks for the correction! :)

@Flail: If you can manage to get your hands on it (not sure where you are in the world), you should try hot chocolate and Amarula (or Baileys, which is very similar). My friends and I always sit back with it after a long day of 'boarding on the slopes! :)

@EClaus: Try the 'xstart' command to manually launch the GUI. If that doesn't work, then it may be (display) driver issues.

@4lun: Hmm, might check this out. Thanks for sharing!
