The red vehicle was a plane tug. The front part picks up the front wheel of a small jet and lets you move it around without its engines needing to be running.
Those engines from that era were fairly basic, and barring a turbo, simpler than gas, but, now wowza, its quite a little chemical refinery in a modern diesel, with turbo, DEF, and that reactor slung under there somewhere. I’ve had turbo farm equipment, motorcycles, trucks, cars, and stationary gear and I don’t care…

I put 917 brakes with a proportioning valve through the dash on my ‘77 930, and they were awesome...and although that car was a daily driver, they would rust if I didn’t drive on them....8 hours.
