I know this is privately funded, so there is a bottom line to think about. But, wouldn’t it be so much cheaper to just fix the planet we have? Rather than coercing the Martian landscape to sustain us?

Great article. I love the idea of this, but living in Michigan, there aren’t many places to “get away” from civilization like this, especially for free. If I lived out west I could see myself getting sucked into this.
Seems pretty rich coming from a driver who didn’t even finish a lap in the race.
That was referring to the “type” of mishap. Anything involving equipment loss over $2.5MM is a “Class A” mishap. Feel free to replace mishap with “clusterfuck” lol.
That 3 inch measurement is VERY generous. I’m not an engineer, but I believe that distance would mean your head compressed 3 inches when it hit. The newtons jump drastically when the distance is nearly zero.
How is the lag in action scenes? In the GIF in the article, the flashes seem pretty random.
Maybe it’s just my browser. Every time I change tabs or even scroll down the page, the video stops. I assume this is an attempt to keep eyes on the video but it totally turns me off even bothering to watch them.
This is great, the only thing I disagree with is that if you wait until the baby is born to find daycare, you’re gonna have a bad time. I would look once you hit the second trimester.
I would have liked to see the Dodge Magnum get a second generation. I was bummed when they killed it off.
I wasn’t able to watch the video with sound, but it looked like the McMurtry Speirling never shut the fan off. I don’t know if maybe it’s not able to, but after launch it probably would have gone faster without all that downforce.
Too soon
I was born in 87. From 1995 to about 2010 I thought the fox bodies were incredibly ugly. I definitely appreciate them now, but I guarantee you I didn’t have that poster on my wall, haha.
This doesn’t make sense: “Parsons’ father told Insider they used skiplagging to save on travel and this was the family’s first time using the travel hack.”
I always thought that “The Greatest Showman” was the movie that PT Barnum would have made about himself, rather than what he was actually like. Everyone’s the hero of their own story.
Holy shit they totally decimated those trees. They had almost no foliage on them to begin with!
It’s just a bad headline - I would have written it as: “SAG-AFTRA’s Contract Demands (which seem reasonable) Rejected by AMPTP”.
Is it in use instead of a “No turn on red” sign?
I think they were implying “morally” above Sam’s and Amazon because they haven’t raised their membership prices.
Technically, their policy says anyone making a purchase must be a member; but my sister has gone with me and used my membership and she paid with her debit. I feel like as long as the member is present, the cashier wouldn’t question it too much.
Holy shit, if every member only bought the $60 membership, that’s $7.5B in revenue.
