The AAF if fun. People should watch it. It’s football. It’s pretty much all televised. The announcing teams are no better or worse than the shit NFL we currently have (I would argue that Marvin Lewis and Maurice Jones-Drew and a full step better than Witton and Boooger), they have fewer commercials, they mostly talk

Too bad his name isn’t Joe. Then we could all say,

Wow really? This was an episode made up completely of Star Trek B Plots...and not even that good of B Plots. If this is what people think they were missing in ST:TNG I guess I’m out. ...And I guess I’m very glad you people weren’t in charge 30 years ago.

You are not alone.  By the second half of this ep I was fast forwarding past almost every scene.  This was a episode made up completely of Star Trek B Plots...and not even that good of B Plots.  To my point, I actually thought the single parent / misunderstood child sub-plot ripped straight from an 80s sit-com was the

Well, 7 years after this review, and he hasn’t put out any new books, better or worse than CofS.

Fantastic! Just how I feel.  I really hope this sentiment rises to the top and follows Serena around for a good long while.

Agreed. It did what needed to be done plotwise, but pretty lame on its own.

I’m all for anything with Tim Omundson in it, but remember that the end of his episode revealed that he definitely wasn’t Lucifer’s dad, he just gained that stuff from the belt buckle or whatever it was.

Yes, me too, to the point that I was going to write off the whole episode if they didn’t, and then boom, they had the very well done ‘twist’ ending that not only made more sense, but added to the overall show mythology. Very nice.

OMG, I just realized—they didn’t have one of those damn Jon Hamm psychology 101 segments this week. And I don’t think I remember anyone else commenting about them. Probably because no one missed them in the slightest!

It’s such a tough call with this show. The Alternate Davids episode was possibly the best episode of the series, and yet it is questionable whether it added much of anything to the show other than that David’s life could have gone many different ways, some good some bad, some evil and with Farouk. Now, there is that

Agreed. Also are we ever going to get back to Oliver’s plan to stop Farouk. Also, is the only thing Ptolemy going to do now is whisper to david where Farouk’s body is in one scene? It sure seems like these writers have started dropping threads in this shaky narrative.

That’s what my wife and I thought. Although I also proffered that she had a cartoon fat belly from eating whatever all those skeletons around them were. It wouldn’t have been the only cartoon thing in the ep—the big hole stopper, Lenny pulling a large rifle out of a hand bag...

I think Ptomely (spelling whatever) told david through a vermillion (eh) bot from within the matrix about 3 eps ago. it happened in the river boat cafe and as usual with this show kind of hard to follow with other trippy stuff going on as it happened.

Agreed. I still like it for the visuals and the music, but at some point you have to have some actual plot and action or else you’re just staring at a very well done screen saver / artsy music video thing for an hour a week.

Agree with everything, but I’d go as far as to say 30-50% leaner. There were almost entire episodes this season that in hindsight added really nothing to the story and really barely anything to the characters, and even when they did, it didn’t need the whole episode to do it.

I think they’re just now writing/filming. I wouldn’t expect any new eps before this years Turkey Day.

Maybe there’s some post-Voyager singularity that we don’t know about yet. It might be called the ‘no new ideas singularity’ or possibly ‘lack of imagination singularity’.

Yeah, how weird, like when people expect that each episode of a season of a show generally happens a few days to weeks after the last, and then the next season happens the following year or so from the last. It really is weird that people would expect a story or group of stories to continue forward in time as they
