An extremely interesting technology, I agree. But is this innovation destined to become a footnote in internal combustion history with the change to electric cars?

95,000 on a 2007 Subie 2.5 liter and the ad doesn’t say anything about the head gaskets being replaced yet? Better save your pennies because that job is right around the corner,

How in the world can you call this POS “Stunning?” It’s over-designed out the whazoo with too many creases, vents, aero bits and wing-thingies. Horrible. I’m happy Honda is doing performance again, but this looks like it was designed by an 11 year old on the back of his english notebook in the back of class.

From a strategic perspective I understand why the military would look towards a renewable, non-petroleum based fuel, but is bio fuel really a practical alternative. These planes aren’t exactly Toyota Prius’s when it comes to mileage. How many corn-fields-per-mile does an F-16 get on biofuel?

“... the driver’s seat, the driver’s door (with window remarkably intact), and part of the front quarter of the car were ripped free and landed on the trail, leaving the driver unharmed.”

WOW! Never seen a convertible Z-car done this well.

1988 Fiero T-Top. The T-top was only a factory option in 1988, the last year of production. It’s American. It’s (RIP) Pontiac. It’s the only mid-engine production vehicle ever made in the US aside from the $250K+ Ford GT. Only 1250 factory T-tops were made (all models). Find a factory yellow, manual, T-top Fiero

Until the “Check Battery Light” turns on.

Had to read WAY TOO FAR to get to a comment about VW’s credibility on this issue.

In the “Corvette” spy photo the windshield and A-pillar look more upright and the rearward bend at the top of the A-pillar is more severe than on the Gallardo. Also, on the “Corvette” there is more of an angle between the hood and windshield and the windshield appears smaller than on the Gallardo where the hood and

Let’s remember that the government builds cases against those higher up the food chain by cutting deals with the people at the bottom to give testimony. What do you want to bet this engineer turns into a cooperating witness and never sees a day of jail time? (BTW - The higher ups will never see a day of jail time

I wonder if they docked his paycheck for the extra fuel?

You know, all this talk about driverless cars solving all of our human driving problems kind of assumes that all of the cars will be programmed by the same, one, benevolent programmer. I think we need a whole Jalopnik “What-If” string on the kind of driverless cars we would get if the car companies hired programmers

Funny, I was thinking the red car HAD to be a BMW!

OK CP all the way, but strangely because it’s not quite over-the-top enough. I mean, the original car was butt-ugly, so why keep as much as he did. If this had some decent power under the hood, a third pedal, new wheels, a custom dash ... it might be worth $3K.

Please do the wheels while you’re at it!

Wait. Did you really say that the USS Constitution was nicknamed “Old Ironsides” because it was the first to use iron armor? FAIL!
