I think about the same things every time this story pops back up. I just commented in a pending post, I went to HS with her. She was unbelievably nice. I remembered her fondly as a person who made me feel really welcome at a new school. This whole thing has me properly shook.

My understanding from reading various sources is that she was likely having a personal crisis, a combination of depression, lack of work, insecurity, etc. You know, a cocktail for abuse targeting. She likely got involved in this from the self-help side, recruited slowly the same way others were, and just took to it.

I actually know a waitress who saw him at her restaurant in Santa Monica. She said he is every bit the asshole he appears to be. There have been shows about what it was like behind the scenes at Married With Children, and they had far more women on the crew than most shows back then.
