Your teacher is an idiot, but that doesn’t sound like “force.” You could have said no or stopped.

If I went to kindergarten today as a 33-year-old, I would blow my “peers” out of the water. I’m not sure that necessarily means I would be successful. I would argue being a younger kid in a higher grade might be success. Kids should be challenged academically in order to excel. Putting your 6-year-old among…
Most districts do not recognize cheerleading as a “sport.” It is a “spirit group” and it receives almost no funding. I did cheer in high school and our poor parents - bless them - had to pay for outside coaching, uniforms, camps, competitions, even “spirit gifts” and posters for the (real) sports teams’ athletes. I’m…
Writing in all caps is just bad grammar.
Holy fuck, how can y’all expect to be taken seriously as “professional writers” when you cannot be bothered to understand the difference between its and it’s. Jezebel publishes this blunder seemingly once a week. Get it together.
I don’t think she’s saying people can’t or shouldn’t wear makeup, or that those who do are stupid. She’s pointing out that it’s a massive waste of time - especially when you consider male peers aren’t doing it - and I think it’s a pretty good point. I don’t even want to think about all the time I would have on my…
I read something in the past about the rent is paid to the owners of those particular units, which isn’t Trump.
Hey, look, it’s a Jezebel post ragging on a white person!
Why don’t you do better? What mass nationwide message of influence did you distribute on the subject this week?
When a toddler throws a tantrum in a grocery store aisle, you don’t argue with them, you walk away. There’s nothing these idiots want more than attention. I agree with Fey. Don’t show up, don’t photograph them, don’t put it on the news, don’t debate them. Let their “protest” fizzle into thin air.
You’re obviously entitled to feel how you do about your mother (and anybody else), but why was the facebook post necessary?
Real question, though: does she actually DJ? I always just assumed she stood there and danced and maybe pushed a button after somebody else set everything up.
I think Trump is vile, I think he most certainly did assault women, and I think many of the allegations that came out last year had elements of extreme credibility. However, I wasn’t there. My opinion is as valid as Paris’s, or maybe even less, since she actually knows someone involved. Who cares what she thinks?…
It’s probably not your fault that you visited Sea World at the age of 8. Be kind to yourself.
It’s probably fair to say Sea World is terrible and cruel to animals. But animals die in the wild from a number of reasons. I’m not sure this animal died because of Sea World. It lived its life in jail because of Sea World, but that’s a somewhat different point.
If you didn’t like her anymore, bro, you could have just broken up with her. Then it would be called a breakup, not cheating.
Jezebel (along with too many others) routinely publishes pieces with the wrong it’s/its used, so I can kind of see where Chris Harrison is coming from.
The face of journalism has changed dramatically with the increased demand for editorial-style opinion “news” and tabloid news. I don’t think that’s really up for debate. Who to blame, though? That would be all of us, the consumers that have driven it to this state.
I see your point. Chris Harrison (and thus, the show) did throw her under the bus by basically asking “I wonder why she called herself a victim?” and then left it to the cast to defend her. She called herself a victim because she had no memory of the event and because your producer told her she was a victim! Duh.
I’m not sure how they could have handled it better.
