I hate the “best friend Jesus” narrative, too. Like, the main point of Christianity is that you have to believe in Jesus so you don’t go to hell. That is not a friendship, that is fear. Imagine if you were friends with a person because if you weren’t friends with them you’d instantly die?

Joel Osteen and this church represent some of the worst of what “Christianity” has to offer. He preaches a prosperity gospel about Christ’s love leading to wealth and financial success. He touts self-help language as “religion” and makes a fortune off of it. These type of people are the absolute worst.

But democrat voters hate police, white people, babies, the military, god, and capitalism. They’re demons!

Energy isn’t a zero-sum game. Capturing and consuming even allegedly “clean” forms of energy en masse will have its own effects. The only way to not affect our environment through energy would be to stop consuming it altogether.

The People’s Princess designation was because the people loved her, and because she did so much to bring awareness to issues in a way others had not done. It had nothing to do with an implication that she was “one of them.”

Whatever Netflix wants is what should happen to the money; it’s their money. If they want to spend it on a top comedian, that’s where it should go.
