way more than the ecoboost mustang comparison thats often floated around

the v6 camry has essentially an equal ~6 second 0-60 time as a stock 86, despite putting down ~50% more power. the 86 isn’t a fast car but the memes have gone a little over the top.

would also require a new transmission to put down the power (the stock 86 clutch for example is only rated to handle ~250 horses) , a stronger rear end to get it to the wheels, and bigger tires/altering of suspension geometry to give it traction. just cutting off the “but an aftermarket turbokit is only $5k” talk

Subaru’s turbo won’t work with the BRZ. i think there’s this perception that the fa20 is a slightly tweaked EJ and thats just not the case. its a higher compression engine with a totally different injection system and the orientation in the BRZ chassis also precludes subaru from mounting all the turbo gear where they

strongman is just more popular in those countries because there is history of competition there. nevermind that in the global south there is far less proper nutrition needed to support 400+ lb athletes. FWIW the first man to win the Arnold Strongman Classic was Mark Henry aka Sexual Chocolate.

the investment will still put you in the black long term, it just depends on how long you wait. over the last 40+ years the S&P has averaged 8% annually. Even if you have a 2008 type situation you’ll have broken ahead by 2011 or so.

(looks around for proper sports coupe with a manual transmission)

i don’t particularly like the mini but it is one of the only two shameless boomer cars that is not bad, the other being the corvette.

that’s what i mean. a secretary car with a truck engine isn’t going to wow anybody.

do people consider the RC-F “throwing down the gauntlet?”

(Kanye voice) BMW doesn’t care about driving enthusiast people

at least i know Mazda is including a manual option on the RX9 they aren’t building.

the 86 has a roughly 50% take rate in manual in the US as per data posted on the ft86 forums. quick browsing of autotrader/classified ads seem to jive with this. iirc its one of the highest take rates on any car that also came in auto.

its strange because the same team absolutely steadfastly advocated for manual in the GT86 and it has one of the highest take rates for manual transmission of any car that has an available automatic. the argument for a manual Supra is essentially the exact same argument.

thats a yamaha engine

please provide an economic argument for that statement. also please be reminded that the president literally does not know the difference between the trade deficit and the national debt.

very much a missed opportunity to bring back the Castrol/TOM’s livery

that interior looks like it was designed by a retard on bath salts

the audi didn’t even have a timing belt amigo
