Well, I lived in Regents, Chinatown, Wiilowdale, West Hill, and in Parkdale whilst growing up in Toronto. I've spent lots of time in the States, too, - and we're nowhere near as divided by race as they are.

We certainly have our issues in Canada but- and this is admittedly from a white guy - but I don't think that "race" divides us in Canada nearly as much as it does in the States. Check out Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, those cities have very mixed populations in both their downtowns and suburbs.

Canada is a very racist country? Compared to where else? We're not perfect but anyone can grow up to one day be hired as a government employee.
