Thank you very much!
Thank you very much!
Shut up and take my money!
If dying in hell isn't possible, at lease do the proper thing and GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE LEFT LANE! Keep right except to pass assholes! It's time to start my 'Prius shaming' blog.
I love my 2013 Land Cruiser. It's a phenomenally nice SUV with REAL capability that I can (and do) use here in CO. It also doesn't scream "Look at my $80K car!" Yes, there are other, cheaper options but they're less functional, less well-equipped, and most of all less reliable. The LX is ugly but I see tons of…
I don't know...I'm no huge Chrysler fan but Mercedes of the DaimlerChrysler era got too much Chrysler in them (read: shit plastic interiors and poor build quality.) However the Chrysler products of today got some damned good platforms: (Jeep GC and Dodge Durango.) When we were recently shopping for SUVs, the…
The hellcat is a badass vehicle. The problem with it is the target market is mostly the 'white trash with money' crowd. They won't learn how to drive the car, won't ever crack the owner's manual, and will however continue to lose races to better drivers and AWD vehicles.
Something on your television or computer designed to make you angry or fearful enough to buy something from their advertisers. On Fox, it's normally gold or catheters.
Yep — when we were still dating, my wife's cavalier was towed from my apartment's parking spot which I paid for since the driver didn't recognize it as mine. Keep in mind it was properly parked, permitted, and legal. After lots of arguing, I got the fees waived and the car returned. However they did damage it by…
Because people think "drive by wire" means everything is done "on the line."
It's true. I've owned two Touaregs (An '09 and a '13.) They are both fantastically nice vehicles which the general public doesn't view as pretentious cars. I sold the '09 recently at 80K trouble-free miles. The '13 just went in for its 30K service and has been trouble-free so far. (Yes, it's early.)
I don't know Doug; I make fun of them constantly here in Colorado. The NA 2.5L installed in loads of models with the CVT is one of the most miserable power trains I've had the displeasure of renting. It's horribly underpowered at our elevation and spins to 6K+ RPM to keep it at 70MPH up I-70. Internationally Subaru…
That's what I did for my Land Cruiser. Finding exactly what I wanted is really hard since they're so low volume. I could order one but it was a 6-9 month lead time to get one since they're built in Japan. Found what I wanted in Chicago of all places. A Land Cruiser in Chicago is stupid.
Agreed. I grew up in Austin and moved away about a decade ago. Whenever I go back, it's pretty amazing just how many trucks are there. Plenty of which have never seen anything other than a gym bag in the back. My brother sells plumbing to municipalities (Drives a 4x4 Titan.) My dad owns a commercial construction…
You could do a fly and buy. You can have pretty much any combination you would like here in Colorado. However it must be 4x4 if you buy it here.
Feh. Pretty much par for the course with my Chrysler experiences. Never again.
My dad bought a diesel rabbit for my sister's first car back in the mid-90s. Diesel and a stick made it actually kind of fun to rag on. She never ended up driving it however since she was such a terrible driver. They ended up buying her a '67 Mustang with the 3-speed auto and a 289 as a replacement. I was jealous.
I had a similar experience with a Toyota dealership here in the Denver Metro. I bought, did all the paperwork on, and paid for a vehicle at a sister dealership across the country. Unfortunately not one of the morons thought to check to see if it was still in inventory. Their sister dealership sold the car 5 days…
I'm actually seriously considering this when it's time to get another car. I like the S-class and have never seen one that looked like it was neglected. C-classes and to a lesser extent E-classes are owned by people just stepping into the luxury market who may or may not be able to actually afford them and their…
I used to own two Touaregs. A 2009 and a 2013. The 2009 was middling at best. Buttons controlling the adaptive cruise, the radio, or a myriad of other systems were suggestions at best. Occasionally the Land Rover reset (turn the car off then back on) worked. The drivetrain was damn solid with the CATA 3.0 TDI. I…
