Very impressive! It would be remiss to not mention the great Melissa DeTora and her top 8 at a Pro Tour, and two top 8s at GPs as well. She also now works for Wizards helping balance the game as part of their Play Design team. Very smart woman!

Yep. I made the same “mistake” if you will.
I legitimately felt bad for Horizon when I got around to playing it. Work was crazy when it came out so I waited to play it until after BotW as well. I really enjoyed the game, but I truly think it would be one of my favorites... if only I’d played it first. Truly the pinnacle of archaic open world game design though!
Awkward Zombie accurately capturing my reaction to climbing mechanics in HZD (worth noting that I didn’t get to HZD until after I’d played BotW, so I was a little spoiled in that regard).
No worries, I just thought it should be pointed out for those who might not be familiar with them outside of the Souls games.
Definitely saving the cultural history of the mimic for some other, different piece. For now I just want to praise these beautiful creatures.
For someone who has “played all of the Baldur’s Gate games” there’s a surprising lack of mention that Mimics aren’t a Dark Souls creation, but one of the oldest D&D monsters that video games have been straight up stealing for decades.
That’s me 8D
This is about the oddest take on this situation I can imagine.
Yes, there have been acts of genocide and other forms of horrific (and often mass-scale) violence throughout human history. That we have reached a point in our collective social consciousness where we say, “Hey, this shit isn’t okay, and supporting the…
There’s a Holocaust museum in Hiroshima. There is literally no excuse.
I am just catching up on Super, but apparently it’s less of an actual power up as opposed to your body’s reaction time becoming 0? I guess Vegeta and Goku have been doing training to get their bodies to react without needing their brains to tell them to. It’s apparently above Blue and Blue + Kaioken, as it actually…
Basically, his every move is now done without thinking, with pure instinct. That means he’s basically untouchable while his attacks are nearly unpredictable. It seems like an ultimate meditative state.
Whis briefly mentioned it before the ToP, that to reach God level of powers they need to be so in tuned with their bodes and their Ki, they do not need to think to react, their body just does, so it is almost like you’re on this weird auto pilot where no thought is needed to react, hence the name Ultra Instinct, the…
Well they still can’t destroy universes like Zen-Oh can. So I guess we’ll keep leveling up to that, and from there we’ll see what’s what.
SSJ4...
Well everyone is fighting for their galaxy’s existence now, they kinda have to fight thanks to Goku.
Well they did included characters like Future Trunks, Android 17, Gohan, and Frieza in major roles in Super recently so it is mixing things up.
I always liked the theory that Jumpman was Mario’s dad, explaining not only the Kong age gap but also the differences in their behavior and Mario continuing to appear in games after Jumpman’s death. But Odyssey kinda put the knife to that one. Ah well, such is the way with crazy fan theories. :-)
As far as I am concerned, Cranky Kong is Donkey Kong’s father, and the current Donkey Kong is Donkey Kong Jr. all grown up, because that makes the most sense.
This whole fiasco got me to finally watch King of Kong and wow is that a good movie.
