The dress was sort of perfectly off in that way that every single Pete Campbell costume was off in Mad Men. Like you don’t know what’s wrong without really analyzing it but it looks bad in a subtle, unsettling way

I have a theory that this season is leading up to a revelation that a lot of key moments were actually done by different characters: Tom sent the donuts, not Logan, Logan set up the speakers, not Kendall, Shiv will be the one to sacrifice Tom, etc. I think Connor having taken Roman fishing is foreshadowing this and it…
I’m interested in why you think opening up the definition of gambling is dangerous though. I wouldn’t hate to see ticket arcades and trading card packs go away and take chance out of the financial return on these games. But yeah i generally would like to know what bad consequences you see happening here.
Yeah that does make lootboxes worse than regular packs, I’ll agree with you there. Also why i hate mtg Arena
So with mtg cards where you can basically trade them for cash at the same spot you bought them I have a hard time seeing how that’s vitally different from exchanging a scratch ticket or a chip at a casino. Legally i guess the distinction is that the lgs can say, “no”, or values can change but that seems to just make…
To be fair though, the magic the gathering scene is like chock full of degenerate gamblers. Especially cause it’s now really easy to move cards, cracking a pack that potentially contains value definitely has a scratch ticket like appeal. There are also tons of raffles on Facebook you can play to win valuable cards.…
I’m very skeptical myself (my dissertation is on pseudoscience), but I’ll say that anecdotally, this video gave me one hell of a head rush
Mario used to be pretty hard and the souls gameplay loop doesn’t need to be draped in endless desolate grayness. Plus making waluigi noises while playing dark souls improves the experience tenfold. I don’t want to see Mario in a souls like game or any of the more main characters, i want waluigis soulsy funhouse
They need to make a souls like starring waluigi. The weapons could be like a boxing glove on a spring or a chain chomp he swings around like a mace. Call it WaSouls
My read of this episode is that it’s dan Harmon responding to the fans (a theme in the latter half of this season). Everyone is feeding him theories and ideas, which were never important to Rick and Morty in the first place—it was always about execution. Time travel stands out as something the show has tried to…
Considering that they can be brought back to life it isn’t really killing unless they get the full lobotomization IMO. “Killing” the robots is necessarily dissimilar from killing a human or any other animal.
I mean there’s plenty of that on the internet that isn’t gated behind a game of bejeweled.
I went to college with Dorian, fun fact.
Ive been meaning to catch up on the lore. I haven’t been following it since Kaladesh
Not enough camera twitching anxiously around especially near corners.
Is this a problem that ever comes up in your real life? Or do you almost always understand the meaning from context? Cause if it’s the latter then I don’t see the utility in changing it. English is an inconsistent mutt of a language anyways but it works just fine.
Chaucer predates the dictionary, you think a bunch of proto-english speakers got together and agreed on “proper” spelling but didn’t write it down?
The use of literally as an intensifier has been around since Chaucer. If you understood the intended meaning in the actual context where the word occurred then “correcting” other people only signifies that you’re being pedantic.
That was my favorite episode too. Honestly the twist (dry-snitching the spoiler) made me feel hopeful about technology and I kind of wish that Black Mirror did more of those episodes. It’s kind of at its strongest when it willingly admits that some of its ideas would be pretty cool.
