Because the earlier style matches the rest of the truck’s styling? The refresh looks cheap and tacked on and doesn’t match any other line on the truck

I am talking about GM’s 2-mode hybrid system:

They sold half-assed hybrid pickups.

In my town I’ve seen an SVT Contour at a Cars and Coffee meet this summer, and just last week I saw a regular Contour on the road.  Hadn’t seen one in the wild in years.

Yeah, I feel MB made a lazy effort in differentiating this from the standard MB.  Are the bumper covers still the same as the MB? Just with a shiny grill? It needs to look more special, not just an MB with shiny plastic glued to it.

Nah. Matte = matte looking, and in fact hides brake dust much more effectively than shiny rims. Also, tire shine looks like crap.

I hate glossy black wheels.  I think it always looks terrible when the wheel is much darker than the tire, which is inevitably what happens.  Personally, I like dark wheels on light-colored cars, but it has to be matte, and can’t be actual black, has to be a dark gray or similar.

I don’t mind the dark color, but dislike the silver band around the circumference. I don’t know why, but any dark wheel with a thin band of silver like that looks cheap to me.

Agree to disagree.  I didn’t like that front end look when they used it on Saturns, and it still didn’t look good when they put it on a Pontiac.

Sure, but then the luggage rubs against the paint.  They always seemed silly to me.

Nah, looked much better without it.  The design travesty of the Sunfire was the front end.  The back looked fine.

Route straps around the trunk lid.

I’m not even sure I would call the exterior of the Zonda as attractive. I’ve always felt that the details of Pagani’s design looked great, but the design as a whole was ungainly and oddly proportioned.

Agreed, though I think the P1 looks good too, everything else since the P1 has not been as good looking to my eye.

My brother-in-law was a technician at Carvana while he was finishing up his training at UTI.  He said they did impressive work on handling service/repairs of cars prior to sale, but said their bodywork was sub-par.

Yeah, Iput cheap pads on my old beater Expedition. Brake feel is fine, but they dust like crazy. When I needed to put new pads on my RX-8, I decided to buy OEM pads because they worked great, lasted forever, and hardly dust.

Indeed. My old boss was really disappointed with his Accord (I think ‘07 or ‘08) because he had to replace pads every 20k miles.

That is something that drives me nuts about watching Le Mans. All the race standings are slowly crawling across the bottom of the screen so you can only see 2-3 cars at a time, so if you want to find out how a particular car is doing, you have to wait on that stupid crawl, which 1/2 the time you get distracted waiting

There are 3 different security points you can go through, Main, North and South.  Most people go to Main, but it seems more and more people are starting to use North and South.

Damn, look at all that legroom.
