Speaking as a Houstonian dealing with the Ike crisis. The hillbillies don't care. They are still arriving to the gas station with the huge truck and sucking the gas station dry by filling up 15 or so gas cans (plus the truck) for the 3 generators they are running to keep the c-band satellite, 65 rear projection tv,

@ThePlumber: I agree 100%. DTA has never failed crashed or flipped out on me in any way, and I use it almost every hour at work. I liked it so much I even bothered to donate $$$.

I think I read the Gerstman review well after playing the game from hearing about the whole bru-ha-ha off of Shacknews.

@e-tat: Right on! I've already been doing the car trip thing for a couple of years now. Yeah the driving sucks, but the time spent with my family is great and I have seen parts of America that you miss when flying. (Including that big ball of string and the big frying pan!)

The game reviews well. Looks great. Still not buying it. I refuse to support SecureROM period. — there's another period!

Cuz' ya know, you can make TATP with a ham on rye!

Well at least SOMEONE is teaching the scientific method. Unlike the school systems who seem to want to bring faux-science to the classroom with all the "intelligent design" bull$hite.

Not very cool Australia. Mandatory cock punch to any conservative Aussie you meet today.

We are all just star stuff... if religion is working out for you, that's awesome. But please respect my ability to make my own choices and I will respect yours.

To those suggesting Hulu. You can only watch it from America I hear.

If you have an American friend in the states, get a Slingbox and put it at your friends house and then connect to it from Japan through the internet.

Oh SecureROM is in this game? Yeah, not buying. I like my PC how it is right now. I have no desire to deal with the problems SecureROM is going to create for me.

NO.

@PapaBear434: I hear you but Crackdown and GTA4 have conquered this already and have at least the same amount of collision detection going on. I do agree that Mercs 2 has more destructible items but I still can't excuse it. It de-immerses you from the game environment. With all the other bugs I listed I have a hard

oh, forgot one thing... you can't get more than 500m from your friend in multiplayer. Irritating too because it take the "sandbox" out of a "sandbox" game. How does GTA and Crackdown acheive this and Mercs 2 does not?!?!?!

BUGS BUGS BUGS!!! I played this last night with a friend and I can say with certainty. The multiplayer experience is seriously buggy. Single player seems fine.

It's a quality issue. The P2P product is usually a much higher quality copy than even a stream offered in HD.

Republic Commando was the only saving grace but it was over in like two hours. Way too short.

Vote: DownThemAll!

Here's the deal with this part of the article: "What this means is that they have a fractured potential audience."
