Yeah it does. The seats come out easy enough though. Still, I’d look at one of the middle trims instead of the hybrid if I’m in the market.

I dislike the article’s title entirely, a bunch of judgmental BS and as a minivan owner I don’t have to take it! In any case I will forgive you and share my opinion on the van. I think if I was looking for something sporty, the Sienna SE would get my attention more so than this one. It doesn’t rely solely on black

3 full-sized bikes, WeeHoo double trailer, a week’s worth of supplies, 3+(.5+.5) people, and all in blacktop on black. Will also pull my popup camper, and is a LOT less than the Highlander the wiff wanted.

Mini-van > wagon in many situations. DeMuro was so, so very wrong. Need to haul 5 kids, and all their crap, because it is your turn for car pool? Mini-van. Rear facing kid seat, and\or the “egg-cup” removable kid carrier? Mini-van. Heck, do you even have just one truly huge front facing kid seat (they are huge and

Snow Tires > AWD

all I want in a car is for it to heat up as much as possible so when I have to pack the kids in they can all scream and whine about an interior that is 120*

You’re not wrong. The reason I like it is for space of course, but also the vertical-ness of it combined with the low loading floor and wide gaping back hatch. I drive a Charger, my wife a Grand Cherokee and we have to contort kids into the back seats (my car mostly) or lift the kid up onto an SUV height (her Jeep.)

I agree: However, a minivan was cheaper than finding that unicorn of a wagon, and holy shit are sliding doors great. Also, it’s not the kid shit I’m worried about hauling: It’s the kid shit plus some bikes and a cooler that all fit inside the van that make it awesome.

Lest the rest of my comment make it sound like I disagree with you, let me make clear that I do not. If you need to carry a bunch of people or a few people and a bunch of stuff, a minivan is probably the right tool for the job. I have no clue why some people hate them. If some day I need one, I will not hesitate to

I’m 100% pro minivan, but you need to EMBRACE it’s minivanness for it to work. If someone is like “you drive a minivan?” you can’t say “yea, but its the sporty version!”. You need to embrace it and say “Bitch, this minivan is the best god damn vehicle I’ve ever owned. I tailgate in this thing. I haul 4x8 plywood in

if AWD is your holdup, what’s wrong with a Sienna?

Going from 1 to 2 offsprings is a game-changer though. And while you certainly *can* get by with a 2-door, it sure makes it easier if one in your fleet has sliding doors! Just make the ladyfolk drive it an keep the mustang. You’ll see...

Haters gonna hate! That’s a fine looking minivan! Seriously though, looks surprisingly good

“I can only logically assume that much of the push back against the quite-good minivan was largely about how un-sporty it is.”

I recently spent a week with a Pacifica hybrid to review, and came away very impressed with it. (not so much the hybrid aspect, but overall) While there’s only so much you can do to make a box sexy, I thought it had a nice shape and some of the details were very appreciated. We’ve always been the snarky types that rag

I want my murdered out Hellcat Pacifica and I want it yesterday.

Be cheaper to just get decent tires.

Being smart and buying a minivan is far from a midlife crisis. It’s more a of a mid-life crisis when you don’t have the guts to drive the vehicle that is best for your needs or when you make fun of minivans.

While they don’t have it yet, apparently they have the option. It seems it was built on a crossover platform, so theres a tunnel for a driveshaft to the rear, along with mounts for a diff. Agreed though, put AWD on it and I’m sold.
