Game Of Thrones has seen no shortage of armies swooping in at the last moment to save our heroes (see: Battle Of Castle Black and Battle Of The Bastards), so it’s certainly in the show’s playbook. And who wouldn’t want a thousand Beric Dondarrions on their side?

Think of the average NFL fan. What have they probably got going in their lives? Their team would rate pretty high on the list of what they love, wouldn’t it? And sports in general are pretty well-loved. It’s the tribalism inherent to humanity with essentially zero consequence. But this notion that Pats fans are

In addition to being a lifelong Pats fan I am also a Penn State fan, which makes me a garbage human even though I do not support the alt-right or child molestation. But I do have to defend Prof. Thom’s. Years back, I came in dressed head-to-toe in Penn State gear asking them if they were going to have the PSU -

Each team’s owner (or managing partner/executive director) really needs to be directly covered in next year’s entries. Who they are. How they made their money. In what specific ways they’ve bankrupted their municipalities. Their most embarrassing and catastrophic fuck-ups (team related or otherwise). Granted, the

“...the kind of person who looks at Kraft, Belichick and Brady and say “Yeah, this is something I want to cheer for”.

Thing is...Kraft, Belichick, and Brady didn’t always look the way they look today. Kraft once seemed like a semi-reasonable dude who paid for his own stadium. Belichick was just some guy who had

Honestly, it says a lot more about the western half of New England.

That is just hurtful. Maybe pre 2007, but after the loss to App State and the Rich Rod years and the Hoek years, and the continued losses to OSU, U of M fans should be humbled. Christ it’s not like we’re fucking Notre Dame insufferable.

Love that gif. Kills me every time.

Your hatred keeps me warm at night!

I’m a girl. They have to think through the consequences of punching a woman so they usually just glare and call me the c word under their breath. It’s glorious.

To be fair, I take every measure to avoid driving through Connecticut, and if I want to go to Vermont, I drive northwest through New Hampshire because it’s usually easier than taking the Pike. Also, I personally hate New York (not for any sports-related reasons, but there are just too many people and nothing I’m

Which is why I didn’t tell you you’re jealous about the winning. Which is why I did tell you you’re doing exactly the same thing you’re accusing Pats fans of doing: seeking moral high ground through your fandom.

Yeah, having lived in Israel, Boston drivers are fantastic. I very rarely feel nervous driving in Boston, and when I do, it’s more out of concern for unaware/uncaring pedestrians and whether or not I’ll hit them.

We’ll spread like the bubonic plague! MWAHAHAHAHA

I was walking out of TD Garden after a Bruins game. Due to construction the tunnel from North Station to the Garden is closed, so a lot more people have to cross Causeway Street. They have a lot of cops out directing traffic. So an impatient man in a Benz S-Class almost plows through a crowd of people. Cop pulls her

I think Boston drivers aren’t that bad, actually, as someone who commutes by car every day. It’s the suburban rubes who are coming into the city for the first time who are the worst. I’d much rather have a “Quincy High School” sticker on the car behind me than a Rhode Island license plate.

I can’t speak for people from Western Mass, who are the only Massholes who would ever use 91 (I literally had to look up where that was, and I’ve lived in the Boston area my whole life). People from Western Mass are like Upstate New Yorkers—totally different breed.

This is wonderful news! I’m so thrilled that Tom Brady is JUST FINE, EVERYONE! I can’t wait for football season to start so that Tom Brady can continue his quest for further football dominance! Because that’s what I like watching! Yay Tom Brady! Yay Football!
