Leaving off Criminal was, well... criminal.

Overrated is giving her too much credit. Running a hospital in the 20th century where it as okay to reuse needles after a warm rinse. Failure to separate the infected, like tuberculosis patients, from the uninfected. Refusal to relieve pain because pain was somehow part of god’s glory. Secret deathbed conversions of

This sounds suspiciously like a Delta Green cover story to me...

I flew in an Air Canada 747 once, from Toronto to Vancouver. I’m a nervous flier so I wasn’t exactly thrilled to fly on something with stairs! I was in the upper deck, too, so the whole thing just looked and felt wrong. But, man, that was the smoothest flight I ever took. That is one stable platform.

It doesn’t even hold up “the world round” if it’s a liquid measure. A British pint is 1.25 lbs.

The thing I hate the most is when Apple Scout Barb turns to the woman, fires off “What’s a computer?” and then turns back to the iPad without waiting a heartbeat for an answer. It’s either the abysmal directing, or the little twit is being deliberately condescending, or both.

Frankly, this doesn’t surprise me in the least. Exhibit A:

This. Albuterol is also a stimulant. I’m on Pro-Air, which has a 90 mcg dose, and one puff is usually enough for me. When I was younger, though, I took Ventolin with 120 mcg doses and I needed two puffs. If I took it before going to bed, I’d be wide awake for at least half an hour. I could feel my heart racing. They

    Thank you!

NBCSN isn’t much better. You could watch the Brazilian grand prix live, or watch a repeat later that day. When I turned on the repeat, they were still running a NASCAR talking head show that was going long or preempting it, with no indication that they would run the race uninterrupted. Within 15 minutes I had the Sky

One way to force him out of public duties (especially those he makes up for himself) is to cut his allowance... See where I’m going with this?

+1 “if they don’t find you handsome, they should at least find you handy” point.

The last times the US tried to invade Canada, it didn’t work out too well for the US...

Bitcoin reminds me of the South Sea Bubble in the early 18th century. It has the same trappings, including skyrocketing value, with no real underpinnings. Basically, a guy sold shares in a not-very-well-thought-out business venture, and the investment in said venture took on a life of its own until it crashed the

In the 90s, before I moved south, I went to all the Argonauts games. One game a year they had the Techni-Cal Super Dogs as the halftime entertainment. Lots of good dogs doing agile dog things. That and the “mascot football game” were my favourite shows (I will never forget the Pizza Pizza mascot running down the field

Brilliant race? Surely you don’t mean the 2017 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Because it was an insanely boring processional. It had all the riveting action of watching paint dry. There was a single top 10 position change not due to Riccardo’s retirement. It was one of the worst races of the year (Sochi gives it a run for it’s

This! Exactly this! It looks like it came from a designer with a 1970s nostalgia fetish. It sort of reminds me of this old Winnipeg Jets logo:

For what it’s worth, Twitter is better modeled with Call of Cthulhu than D&D.

This is Sabine, while playing fetch with one of her many toys. Sabine is a very good dog. At 14, she’s also getting up there in age. Her orangey fur has gone grey, her eyes are clouding over, and she doesn’t hear so well,. But there’s nothing wrong with her sniffer, and she runs after toys like she’s a puppy.

Related to this, if it’s not obvious when you visit the apartment, ask when the sunlight hits the apartment in the summer if the building is on central heating and air. There are usually laws in place for when an apartment building has to keep the heating available, and that’s when they usually flip over to a/c. If
