Agree, it's not needed. Simply tether surface to phone's WiFi hotspot. I'd never carry a surface/slate/tablet anywhere I wouldn't take my phone anyway.

The current Lumina phones use a Snapdragon chipset, and even the older Nokia N9 uses an ARM chip.

It should just be smart. I'm ok with downloading the small banners in a newsletter that make up its formatting, but not with downloading full scale photo attachments (thumbnail these?)

Agree, except Foursquare? do people still use that?

and if you call a fax machine by accident, you hear the modem sound. (hopefully fax machines disappear soon too though)

also, there was a 100 ton TNT test at the trinity site, 1945 (still << N1's 7 kTons)

I bought a WP7.5. Nokia Lumina 800 and yeah it's beautiful, but your right, I feel ripped off. I can't do everything I could on android. The lack of features kills it (no calDAV, no wifi hotspot, no proper imap sync, no mainstream apps e.g. dropbox - just one app I could have used today)

agree.

If you want to try these out, Dolphin browser use these for shortcuts to bookmarks/commands, they call them gestures. G for google, S for facebook, N for for tab etc.

I should have specified, I was talking about the features on the Android version of the dropbox app. The desktop version is different.

Andriod applications can hook into the OS for nice features like this after being granted permission from the user (something iOS wont (ever?) allow. These new features require the user to give the dropbox app some pretty hefty permissions: 'act as an account authenticator'. Hopefully giving away these types of

facetime just became..

totally agree. Having the first solid ICS Andriod4 phone is win, but what's the bet they'll stick with their sinking QNX failboat.
