This is the second Berkeley Law dean to be accused of sexual harassment. In 2002, Dean Dwyer resigned after being accused of sexually harassing students, including having sex with a heavily intoxicated student. I hear they’re looking to appoint Jian Ghomeshi as the next dean

Ugh. What a loathsome whiner. I always think of Adele as a poor man’s Amy Winehouse anyway.

Correction: No one says “South California.” You mean “Southern California.”

The Printz Award also tends to reward YA books by male author or books about male characters over YA books by females or about females. (Don’t get me started about John Green and his salivating fans.)

My guess is she loves being in the spotlight. I don’t think she’s very moral, given that she put anti-vaxxer Jenny McCartney on The View, a show she produces.

Here is the quote from her memoir: “The president? The child molester? The powers that be chose Mary Kay Letourneau. I rest my case.”

I just read Walters’ 2007 memoir, Audition. She says the main reason she quit 20/20 was that the producers (caving into public demand) wanted her to interview trashy celebrities and criminals instead of world leaders like she’d done in the past. The example she used in her memoir was that her producers turned down the

Good. After The View hired baby-killer Jenny McCarthy, I vowed to never watch the show again. Unfortunately, I hardly ever watched it in the first place.

Meanwhile, last year's Miss Israel was black (of Ethiopian descent) and a few years before that Miss Israel was of Arab descent.

Why isn't the October release GONE GIRL on this list?!!

We had been married nine years. We were at a low point, partly because we were stressed out with a baby and two very young children, and partly because my husband was working very long hours for a horrible boss. Given that my parents had divorced when I was young and my husband's parents had a lousy marriage, we had

We went to marriage counseling as a last-ditch thing. I was sure I wanted to get divorced. The counseling helped enormously. Our psychologist was heavily influenced by John Gottman. I read one of Gottman's books and found it very helpful. One thing the psychologist did was asked us to discuss our hot-button issues

A couple of older, very creepy books: The Stranger Beside Me, which is written by someone who once worked with serial killer Ted Bundy. Eek. And Helter Skelter, about the Manson Family, written (with help from a coauthor) by the prosecutor who tried the cases against them. Yikes.

Call the doctor's office and ask for the results. Best wishes to you.

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks is excellent, a very well-researched book involving DNA research, medical ethics, the poor black woman whose DNA was used without compensation or permission, her descendants, and more.

I had it 16 years ago and am very glad I did. My shoulder pain has lessened a lot, I have a much easier time finding clothes that fit, and guys don't gawk at my chest as much. I went from being a DD to a C. I'm on the thin side and small-boned, so the DD was huge for my body.

Given all the security measures in place post-9/11, Mills still talked his way into the Superbowl. This shows that our defense attempts are easily circumvented. So with our much looser security pre-9/11, it's EASY to imagine that a bunch of trained terrorists could hijack four planes and crash them into buildings.

The only 9/11 Truther I know, through my book club, is an African-American woman in her sixties.

In every John Green novel, every teenage character talks the same way, like an unrealistically witty and cocky adult. It's like every character is John Green showing off, and I can never buy into the story. In Green's defense, he's great at marketing himself online.

According to a 2009 article in Time Magazine, of the 3.3 million Americans with nut allergies, 150 die of allergy-related causes every year, which is slightly higher than the number of people killed by lightning every year.
