"A lot of people say, why didn't you take a taxi?" he said. "What are you doing out so late? It's not a crime to be at a friend's house late. I shouldn't be scared walking home six blocks. I live here."

When men are confronted with what half a household's worth of housework and errands actually looks like, they backpedal and rationalize that their wives are just foolishly doing more than necessary, or doing things inefficiently, and carve out their own more comfortable "half" consisting only of chores that they…
Because it's based in misogyny. It's not just a woman trashing her gender. It's sending the message to guys that it's okay for them to do that shit too.
If he refuses to help (and I hate using that word), then can you hire someone else to do it? You sound like you'd make enough money that you could.
Did you not read the article? That's not what happens. Sure people may have one idea of what egalitarian means, but it's an entirely different matter when the third kid is up at 3 AM with another fever and one parent is operating on zero sleep and there are loads of laundry and dishes to be done.
You want to take a supposedly egalitarian marriage and turn back the clock on it? All the man has to do is one thing and one thing only: nothing.
Given that more women are waiting to have children, as opposed to in their 20s, this doesn't seem realistic. My mother waited, and I have parents in their 80s now as I have children. Sure it would be ideal for the 1950s or even the 1980s when I was in school. I don't see this as feasible in the future.
I forgot a sentence at the end of the first paragraph.
I went out with a guy who happened to work in my field: politics. He claimed to have Senator Harry Reid's personal cell number, and they call each other all the time. Conversation went like this.
"One black guy agrees with me so what I think is totally okay!"
And even if he is senile now, he wasn't when he raped these women.
Has he said that though? Throughout the entire police investigation, that hasn't come out at all.
I'm glad the NFL did it too, but let's not pretend Goodell is some beacon of morality and justice. It's a fucking joke in comparison to the other punishments that he's meted out in the past.
Right. Because when OJ was on the run in the White Bronco, we all kept our mouths shut until a jury verdict got handed down and then every American after that agreed with said verdict.
One of the accusers explains it quite well in a Washington Post article. If you haven't read it yet, prepare to get your rage on.
Hey be fair now! You need to drug him first and THEN force him to answer the question.
FUCKING THANK YOU!
Kind of brings new meaning to the song, "Age Ain't Nothin' But A Number" now.
I'd love to see how he justifies all that too. "Fuck" is unacceptable to say on stage, but the idea of drugging and raping women when they're passed out is okay?
Finally. Someone speaks up for my kind in this discussion.
